Keeps it together? They didn't even make the playoffs this year.
I like Vancouver, though. They're a lot of fun to watch, and I'm a Bertuzzi fan, but they're not going anywhere with their goaltending.
Even when Cloutier is healthy, he sucks.

Fucking awesome game tonight. Lots of edge of the seat action, I was happier than Joey Moss when they won.

cloutier has been the best goalie to play for vancouver ever since kirk mclean. The others have played horrible got released and have stepped it up with their new team. Examples Kevin Weekes, Sean Burke, and Artus Irbe.

ryan smyth with the sublime highlight reel goal. probably the purest goal ive seen in about 10 years, so skillfull and graceful. i wish all goals were half as pretty as that one.

I actually tuned in for EVERY SINGLE sports show last night so I could watch that glorious goal again and again. Stupendous finish by Smyth, I have to say.

who's watching now? samsonov's behind-the-back pass to dvorak for edmonton's goal was sick.

what a wack penalty for torres. nice to blow a great early lead.

still, sick game so far. they're really going for it.

i was watching while using the eliptical machine at the gym. carolina won and i laughed hysterically as everyone else in the gym were cheering for edmonton. their logic baffles me, edmonton is considered "canadas last hope" and suddenly everyone in vancouver is jocking the oilers and hopping on the bandwagon like its some kindof canada vs us deal. how fucking stupid are they? carolina has plenty of canadian players on their team.

Your pretty much on point here. Fuck fans who jump on teams after their teams have gone out.

You seriously can't see the dramatic effect of a small market Canadian team coming in 8th place and going to the final against an expansion franchise in a state without ice? Pretty poetic, especially if we lose.

Tonight's game was fucking fantastic, win or lose. Having the home town hero put it away on a breakaway in OT is pretty much the stuff of legends.

the game was easily the best of the series and possibly the whole playoffs. i thought the oil would lose tonight, but they came through. the series might actually go 7 now.

Another fantastic series where the storied Canadian team loses to the Southern, ugly-uniformed, nobody-else cares about squad. Strange.

Was a tremendous series though, damn if I hadn't seen hockey played that fast and that intense in years...

they take off the bottom ring- put it in the hall of fame - then they and another blank ring in its spot.

Too bad for the Oil fans here.
Hate to see guys like Jason Smith and co lose it.. (except Pronger and Smyth.. YES!).
Great game 7, though.
