BRazil got a little too lazy. And the Croats needed to put a shot on goal, and/or not on the goalie.

I was actually impressed with the Croatian squad.

Senderos and Makelele stood out in the French/Swiss game. Senderos is a beast.

u dont win the world cup in the first game. they won, thats what matters.

b) Ronaldo is a fat-ass pig.

so true. i was counting the seconds til robinho would come in.

c) Maybe I'm still new to the sport by why is it so difficult for someone like David Trezeguet to get off the bench? HE'S GOOD AND FRANCE SUCKED SO PUT HIM IN. Dude should be starting in the first place.

cuz he sucked ass in euro 2004 (so did henry) and generally isnt much of a team player. he's the type to sit around for 80 minutes and maybe get a poacher's goal after doing nothing the whole game...he's a damn good finisher, but i can definitely see why a coach wouldnt wanna play him, especially from the start. i would opt for saha personally.

d) 4-4-2 sucks.

why? name a better formation. 4-4-2 beats the fuck outta the 4-5-1 thats been so popular since greece and mourinho's club teams (porto and chelsea) have used it.

its pathetic to watch ronaldo play. damn my fav player of all time is a fat, lazy basterd. and the sad part is is that hes barely 30 years old. blame it on injuries but what it comes down to is that he doesnt have the desire anymore to be great. hopefully he can prove me wrong

It's not that I really hate 4-4-2 but when teams are stacked offensively (such as France) why wouldn't you put 3 strikers up front instead of playing so passively? Some teams can pull off a more forward scheme, some can't. I think Italy can get by with playing 3 on the back line because the individual talent is there. What's the big deal, your midfielders can get back can't they? You're stacking your forward line, get a score early, then focus on defending. I'm certainly not a fan for 4-5-1, that's terrible.

It's just frustrating as a fan of the sport to see a team playing poorly and not really doing anything about it. When you're losing or having trouble making plays happen, switch your formation up and start playing to win instead of trying not to lose especially a team like Sweden or France.

its crazy taht Henry and Trezegeut are prolly France's two most talented players and still are so lack luster. imen Henry has the potential to take over games but needs to be more consistent. Zidane needs mad help. I dont see France scoring more than one goal in the next two matches if they play like they did today. they all just stood around even when the mall was near the box.

France is just frustrating as hell to watch. Not only is Henry one of the most talented dudes in France, he's one of the top 5 players in the WORLD, and Zidane is surgical with this shit...I just don't get it. All of a sudden Henry is like a ghost in the attacking third, is that b/c of the formation?

henry never shows up when it matters most. didnt do anything in 98 didnt do anything in the uefa championship game and he looks like hes not gonna do anything in this worlp cup. he had some chances today but got off some weak kicks. this team is trying to much to get him to score. whats up with their formation. this tornament is not about thiery henry and france needs to understand that

What about leading arsenal all the way to the uefa championship almost singlehandedly?

Henry is so talented but he always seems so subdied playing for France lately. man they need a breakout game. the swiss are a tough defensive team but lacked scoring firepower other wise they would have had this game won.

you need 2 full backs to counter an opposing wing threat.

if you were to play 3-4-3 against a team with Ryan Giggs and Marc Overmars in their primes you'd be at a severe disadvantage

i havent even adopted a team this year to root for. i'll probably just be cliche and go for the underdogs in each match.

except when America plays of course

Good shit by the Saudis. They put in someone to go for the win and it paid off. Good to know somebody was listening.
