DS Lite confirmed for 6/11/06

So NSMB pretty much sold me on pickin' up a DS Lite, BUT I'm still a little reluctant to get a hand-held system. Am i going to be satisfied sitting back in my big leather chair and playing a handheld? I don't know, because the last hand-held i owned was a Sega Gamegear when it 1st launched, and I'm having a hard time picturing NOT playing videogames through a TV.

Heck, I'll probably grab one anyways just off the strength of Mario Kart and pretty much every other game released by Nintendo.

+ the price is right!

^^^get one! I get mine saturday at midnight and needless to say, I will be having a night in playing Mother 3 on it!

Im gettin New Super Mario Bros next sunday for fathers day...may pick up mart kart in the mean time to hold me over...

Pretty happy they're not going to have the power button right above the directional pad anymore, that was kind of retarded. Will definitely be buying a DS Lite.

just picked one up at bestbuy along with NSMB.. never had the original ds so i can't really compare it fairly.. but it's sick so far.. real small, sleek, and really bright.. they were definitely goin for the ipod look.

Yeah, they showed this on "Attack of the Show," and damn it I've been trying to convince myself to buy one for the last couple of days.

yea this thing really is awesome.

I got mario 64 and im gettin new super mario this weekend.

I tried to get mario kart but the punks were tryin to charge me 30 dollars for a refurbished, with NO box and NO instruction manual. does that sound like a rip off to anyone but me?

got my ds lite few days ago. the white one of course because it matches my uniform

i also snagged the last copy of metroid prime hunters that the store had in stock. that game is legit. although i hate not having a "save anywhere" feature, i guess most handheld games to implement this, but im used to the blessed pc gaming.

how long will the battery last if i keep puttin into sleep mode.. i think i read somewhere that it can last about a week in sleep mode on a full battery charge.. that's pretty dope.. anyone try this???

ps. this system is real sleek.. i keep opening and closing it just to admire it's design.. haha

I have had mine on sleep for 4 days (totally by accident) and it still had enough charge to play an hour of Mario before I decided to charge it again...

and that was the DS heavy, which didn't have as good of battery life (or so is my understanding).

fucking awesome.

This is the only other handheld system I've ever owned aside from the TurboExpress, which kinda doesnt count I guess since the games weren't exclusive to the handheld
