your favorite from the list. obviously primo, pete rock, paul, rza and dre will earn the most votes but i made this list pretty extensive and we're voting for our FAVORITE not the greatest.
hopefully the outcome will be slightly different from the past.

I went with Prince Paul
this was so long it was tough as hell.
I chose him because of the diversity in the shit he would sample.
kazoos, Otis redding whistling, yodel records... it was just so off the wall to me, it puts him ahead of the rest.
Because he could take something that wasn't even close to hip hop (unlike others who used funk, R&B, Rock records) and turn it into a fresh song.

Lol @ Rza running away with this shit. Dude hasn't done a whole lot lately to be so many peoples favorite producer.
Went with Pete Rock.

... and had the Juicy J option been DJ Paul & Juicy J as a single entity, I may have chosen them depending on my mood.

Fuck you talking about?
3 beats on "Fishscale"
Released the smooth as fuck "Surviving Elements" instrumental album last year and the Soul Survivor 2 (admittedly it was iffy) album the year before that.
Still remixing....did one for One.Be.Lo fairly recently
Got more shit lined up this year.
I'm not hating on Rza, he's a great producer, but this poll should be closer than it is. Rza just hasn't been in the limelight, and i think he gets a lot of credit for the masterful shit he was doing ten years ago. He hasn't done much recently, although he's supposed to be masterminding some of the future Wu releases so we'll see.

^^^
"State of Grace" and "School" are both ill as fuck. I wouldn't be producing that many albums either if Jim Jarmush and Tarantino asked me to score their films.
