a beat to critique

Post by The Red Scare »

I just found a store downtown that sells used records for 33 cents each, so I've been pretty busy collecting samples and making beats lately. Anyway, here's something I've been workin on that I'd really like some feedback on...

"domination"

thanks a lot

I dont like how the 'couple bar intro stumbles into that second sample.
That being said pretty much every other change up is fluid and I'm diggin' the samples in general. Good work as per usual.

Edit never mind, my speakers were low the first time i heard the beat, the second sample sounds fine. This beat is hot man.

good stuff... very head-noddable... I downloaded.

For what it's worth I also liked "Revelation" and "Reflection."

its good, but it has more of the feel for a like video game or some shit...when i listen to this i feel like playing halo.

well made, quality sounds a bit muffled, most likley soundclick working its wonders.

the synthy voices, yeah I kinda get that halo feeling. This beat is freakin crazy. This would make good video game music for when you're about to fight the boss or some shit. Good shit man, this is definitely some original music. The ending is fucking epic, too.

ahhh, this is cool man, got steez. theres a fuzzy bass that comes in with 2 notes every now and then that makes me a little cranky. but the rest of it is cheese on the cat. in a good way, you layer your stuff real nicely, get some good atmosphere in your stuff...this is no exception. good developments...i like, kill that fuzz bass though, or mute the highs on it, it's obtrusive in the mix. that's my one complaint though, this is definitely on some doom3 shit or somethin, lol, nice work.

this was pretty different...i dig it. not really feeling that kick drum though. for some reason it bothers me. everything else feels pretty fluid. nice job.

diggin the main melody but i'm sucker for 88 keys. this definetely sounds different from a typical hip-hop beat but i can imagine a lot of different mainstream rappers on it. drums are gritty and great. great work.
