DO you still play PSP?

Post by Russian »

I dont, heh, i used to play Fiffa Soccer for few months, but thats it. I find myself pulling out my DS more often these days.

I was looking at that new GTA game for PSP but then ended up getting Castlevania for DS.

Do people still play PSP?

i don't own one but most people i know that have them don't really play them.

it looked kinda cool, but handheld systems are kinda ehhh to me. i couldn't see myself playing one enough to justify buying one. i've felt like this since the days of gameboy.

a system that sold on pure hype. the outcome is most owners will be EBing it back for a trade in within the next year or so.

i am beginning to think the same

Maybe if they drop some kinda amazing RPG that will be as amazing as something Sony came out with for PS OR PS2, something like FF Tactics.

At one point i thought that DS was worthless , but now i see that PSP is just bells and wistles.

i heard maddens gameplay was really bad on this too. that could have really helped them out. i guess GTA is their last chance.

Yeah I have the Madden and I must say that it is shitty. I think I will be trading it in on Socom, which I heard is pretty good.

There's stuff you can install on the PSP to revert it back to whatever version you need it to be to play emulators on it

I haven't played my PSP since I beat the shit out of Lumines around May. I shoved it in my desk and haven't seen it since.

DS on the other hand, I play regularly..and with Mario Kart DS on the horizon and Animal Crossing it will see a ton of action in the near future

In fairness, Madden for DS was rele shitty too.

I didn't get a PSP, but the DS was definitely a great purchase. Played Castlevania a ton... Tomorrow I'm getting Mario Kart. No end in sight.

Consider GTA:LCS the psp's Jesus. its awesome. I also play me a round or two of Virtua Tennis every now and then.

Things to consider, the DS has been out almost twice as long (i think) as the PSP, so of course they'll have a wider range of games. I say give the psp some time.

I had left mine alone for a couple of months after I got bored of Hot Shots Golf but have recently picked it up again after buying Liberty City Stories.

The games really have been downers for the most part, which is a shame because it's an awesome system. The movies are horribly overpriced, too. That I think is the worst part, because I really think movies would fly off the shelves for this thing if done right - namely, if they cut all the extras and sold them for 10-12 bucks each. I'm not interested in paying more than that on a disc that is only playable on a handheld.

gta for psp has me playing psp more than xbox lately (i just got the warriors and after two and a half hours i'm at 30% complete, i've been playing gta:lcs for like eighteen hours and i'm only 39% complete).

I don't. I always saw the whole PSP movie thing as being incredibly stupid. Who is traveling that much that they need to spend money on movies for a handheld video game system? On that small ass screen and shit? The whole thing is retarded.

I've always looked at the PSP as a joke.

PSP movies are actually selling well, the PSP in general is keeping up with the DS pretty well. Why? I don't know.

It's not just people who travel a lot, but for travelers with little carrying capacity.

The best example I can think of is soldiers/military. Carry some movies with you on deployment and some games to boot. Same system.
