dang, japanese mags look hectic. Looks good, and it seems like it takes place in a more urban environment than 4, does that say anything about the story or gameplay?

RE4 was mind-blowing, if they keep up the quality for the next one.....I can't even wrap my mind around how awesome it will be.

i tried playing either the first or second resident evil, and after i ran out of ammo and got swarmed by zombies for the second time i was like "FUCK THIS".

and that's the way it's going to stay.

I can guarantee that playing Resident Evil 4 will completely change that. Please give it a try. RE before 4 = some of the best atmospherics, scenario writing and graphics ever, with some of the worst gameplay ever. RE4 = one of the best games ever. It is truly magnificent.

As for 5... I'm not getting too excited until I see some gameplay footage. FMV showing the scenario and potential graphics aren't good enough. Some of those shots might even suggest the camera isn't over the shoulder. Fuck going back to walking towards the camera all the time. The setting, with bright daylight look cool - I found the daylight part in the village in RE4 more unsettling than the stuff after nightfall. And the idea of being chased a lot sounds dope. If there's one thing scarier than oncoming zombies/crazy Spanish cultists, it's ones behind you.

And does anyone know the pedigree of this new producer? Is Shinji Mikami not on board at all? Hmmmm.

RE4 is completely different from the other games. It truly is a masterpiece, and I don't think that is an overstatement. Play it.

as someone who has played the shit out of almost every game in this series(not nemesis or zero) let me
say that i think that re2 is the most fun game in the series hands down.
that being said re4 is without a doubt the best because of the new camera style,graphics,setting, and story re4 lacks in only one
area and thats difficulty this game is extremely easy

No doubt Resi 2 is the best of the series. So many boo scares and dope storylines. RE4 was dope as fuck but because it was so hectic it just didnt seem like a Resi game sometimes and the ending was mad disappointing.

I watched the trailer for RE5 and it looks

I agree that that the last boss battle was kind of weak, the ending itself was fine to me, though.

Also, if Nintendo gets the shaft on RE 5, it will be major bullshit.

I doubt anything we've seen is gameplay, or running on any of the actual next gen systems. It's no more a real RE4 trailer than that comedy MGS4 one, it's just a CG teaser to set the hype in motion.

Oh, and RE4>>>>>>>>RE:CV>RE2.
