Yea, I use it strictly for sports updates. Moment I see some reporter say something personal I take them off my list.Positive A wrote:Yeah it's a pretty good tool. nh.Reason wrote:fuck it. i've avoided twitter all this time b/c i chalked it up to lameness and a bunch of who-cares-material but just for the news/updates i gotta start using it

If you really need to get news immediately, sure. I find that if you can wait a couple hours, everything on Twitter will get sorted through and presented via the regular channels.Gregg Popabitch wrote:when it comes to being plugged in and getting up to date news, nothing is better than twitter imo.Reason wrote:fuck it. i've avoided twitter all this time b/c i chalked it up to lameness and a bunch of who-cares-material but just for the news/updates i gotta start using it
I have an account to follow Calipari, his assistants, Joker Phillips, and a smattering of current and former Wildcats, but none of those guys are tweeting what I would call news.

This is, and always will be, the truth. Its old "the getting it right vs. getting it first" argument. But to me the joy of Twitter is the knee jerk reactions of people when the first details of a story come to light, and then seeing how that changes over time. It may not immediately be 100% of the truth, but being a part of the conversation from start to finish is pretty fun.wheels wrote:If you really need to get news immediately, sure.
