this was ok.
best:
jeff ross, obviously.
william shatner
kate walsh
patrice o'neal
jon lovitz had a good one-liner but everyone else was terrible. except for mike tyson. he was in his whole other category because this roast was basically shared between him and sheen. and sheen himself was funnier than half the people who roasted him.

Quit crying as if any of you are as funny as any one from tonight.
Jesus Christ how are you all so bitter? I really don't see how something as mindless as a roast elicits such disdain and bother in people. It was a bunch of funny ass punchlines and some real awkward moments to boot. Both chicks were funny. John Lovitz killed and Sheen had a decent rebuttal even tho he didn't get at anyone with more than 1 joke really.
Considering the memes one has sitting in front of them to deal with Charlie there were some obvious jokes but some great left fielders too..
A friend of mine had posted a pic of himself with Steve-O from a comedy show..Now I see why he had black eyes.
I think Mike Tyson trying to keep his coat straight was the hardest fight I've ever seen him in..does he have Parkinsons now?? His joke about the Iliad and stealing from Homer was pretty good..
A 4 out of 5 as far as roasts go.

Who's hating on it? Everyone who saw it basically said the same thing. It was okay.CRASH DDZ wrote:Quit crying as if any of you are as funny as any one from tonight.

Don't be so sensitive about your roasts, bro.
I just don't see the point in watching it, probably chuckling all the way through it because it was pretty funny, and then racing back here just to be "above it all." But i guess that's 90% of peoples post counts around here anyway.
The Steve-O comment about his buddy dying was the definition of too soon probably. He's a mess though. If you wait until it's time appropriate he'll probably be dead anyway.
and you're probably right. I just get tired of so many negative comments where people are just trying to be too cool for school.

The last time there was a roast about half a dozen people here were sobbing furiously because some of us thought it was below par. Not sure why these bring out the deeper feminine emotions in some.

it was a "big" story when they announced the roast that she was booked that day and wasnt able to get out of whatever engagement she had...bbatson1 wrote:how come(sorry i'm drawing a blank on the name), the fat lady who fucks black guys, wasn't there. She's one of the funniest ones. I wonder what happened. I can't remember her not being on one.
also the Pam Anderson one was really funny.
show was funny though, i'd give it a C+ or B-..def had some genuine LOL moments and a few face palms...
after this special and watching Amy Schumer's special after it, i hope she lets a nigga beat.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by this one.
Ross finally came into his own and killed from start to finish.
Tyson was as surreal and hilarious as you could hope him to be, and Shatner was decent in the same vein as well.
Patrice pretty much ended that hack cracker Jeselnik's career, imo.
Sheen was funnier than expected.
All in all, much better than the Hasselhoff debacle.

Don't know if he was serious or not but Patrice seemed genuinely asshurt from the racist stuff. Not as bad as the Flav roast but these Roasts let some crazy stuff fly in the name of comedy and in the hands of someone like Shatner, who doesn't really have the comedic chops, I can see why Patrice was beefing. Ross killed and Charlie was next in my mind
