It took me a year to get used to his voice, but there are some jams on there.ardamus wrote:i tried to tell niggas on here he's that next dude on the come up. dope album.LameAim wrote:Possible new contender, very solid on the first listen for me. Aside from mbdtf, I haven't heard much from the hip hop realm that I've liked in the last year or so besides this: <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ej9-7QncFC4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I was pretty disappointed by Curren$y's full lengths. OF was alright for a minute but I can't really get into that shit.
This forum is full of nothing but redundant threads/topics, and littered with links to mediocre songs. Shit sucks.
Later Phila

http://www.steadybloggin.com - some of these are my thoughts yo
Not exactly exhaustive, but my most listened to hip-hop offerings (off the top of my head) from the last couple of years probably are:
Roc Marciano - Marcberg
Kanye - MBDTF
Homeboy Sandman - The Good Sun
Pharoahe - WAR
The Roots - How I Got Over
Not much on that list right? I know, it concerns me too. And I give virtually everything a spin.
A lot of people mentioned EARL, and it's cool as a concept album and all, but there's just something about listening to a child do gross-out hip hop for 25 minutes (or however long that shit is) that I just can't stomach all that much. I much prefer Frank Oceans shit. Anyways, I guess I like grown man rap, probably because I'm 35 years old.
