Some dope turntable work by Exile... I'm pretty sure this was made in '97, not sure. The A Side is a bunch of West Coast Underground stuff while the B Side features some Emanon jams. It's a cool listen.

Wkcr's "Nighttrain"..

Post by william g. »

WKCR's "NightTrain"

Does anyone have any shows?

I think i have 2 shows which were just DJ ELI (one of the host dj's) and DJ MURO (as guest dj) playing breaks and soul/funk music, but i'd have to look again.

I think the show was only on from 1997-99..

They played hip-hop,breaks and rare grooves..

Lol I remember that show, unfortunately I don't have many of em on tape because it just didn't draw my attention nearly as much as CMFamalam did. I have to look around for the couple shows I've got on tape.

The era of the Night train show usually reminds me of a depressing time because it felt like the few hosts of underground shows we had left in NYC were becoming depressed due to the bling phase that was starting to take over. I can't speak for how they felt but it's something I sensed sometimes when I turned these shows on around the late 90's. They managed to dig up some gems every now & then though.
