DEAD POOL

Wanted to see if there is any interest in starting a death pool. It's something I used to run at my old company.

here is how it works:

Pick 5 celebrities, with ONE גmoneyballג pick. The Moneyball pick must be under 30 years of ageג¦.$5 dollar entry fee to be allocated towards prize money

Dead pool runs the calendar year, January 2011-January 2012

SCORING SYSTEM: You gain 1 point for every correct death prediction. Moneyball pick is worth 2 points!!
In the event of a tie, we will hold a tiebreaker גactivity.ג

cool. but i was thinking of doing a rotation type draft in this thread where the players take turns selecting people. seems more fair.

what do you think?

we can just post lists too....

the only real stipulation would be for you to avoid picking those you know are on deathגs door as of this date (I.E. Jeff Conway etc). Picks should be well known enough to be household names. Athletes, musicians, actors, politicians of note etc.

Wouldn't the best way to do this is when someone dies you get

100 - Persons age

And for your wild card you get double score or some shit?

You should use my other suggestion someone who's 80 shouldn't be worth the same as someone in their 40's.
