Im pretty sure that Roy Ayers version came firstMr. J Selectah wrote: i think there's always been some misconceptions about the Roy Ayers version and the original version from the group RAMP of "Everybody love's the sunshine"
Great intro sampled for a nice Brainsick joint, word.Mr. J Selectah wrote:RAMPS version has also been sampled a whole lot, for example by Brainsick Mob
Indeed. RAMP stands for Roy Ayers Music Production. The LP "Come into knowledge" is a milestone, like other great Roy Ayers productions and LPs.Verge wrote: RAMP and Roy Ayers were indeed affiliated, Roy produced their one and only album along with Edwin Birdsong and William Allen.
either way, Sunshine is an amazing record. I saw Roy Ayers perform it live this past summer - a real goosebumps spine-tingling moment.RAMP was an American soul/jazz band from Cincinnati, Ohio.[1] RAMP has mistakenly been said to stand for "Roy Ayers Music Production" and "Roy Ayers Music Project", but Ayers was not a member, though he did write and produce songs on their debut album.

Word. These and "Searching", "The Memory", and so many other classic joints. I wonder who his back up singers are now and if they sound similar to his old ones. Those chicks had such a smooth soulful sound together.Thun wrote:I need to see these songs performed before this guy dies.step one wrote:Suncebeat festival in Croatia (:bork:)
He did 'We Live In Brooklyn Baby' aswell. I was standing next to Mr Thing at the time. Couldnt help wishing he'd have bought Smif N Wessun or E Rule out on stage
he had a group called Bah Samba backing him when I saw him and they're pretty good.Verge wrote:Word. These and "Searching", "The Memory", and so many other classic joints. Was RAMP composed of some of his back up singers, anyone?
