The Bulls are still too inconsistent, and despite the addition of Boozer there's no way they can beat the top teams w/ size (LA, BOS). Boozer traditionally struggled against Gasol/Odom/Bynum in Utah, and even with Noah back I still think Chicago's is headed for a 2nd round exit.VideoKilledThe wrote:That's the second time the Bulls have lost to the Bobcats this week, and the first loss was w/Boozer.
Proky tells Denver to fuck off. Melo to the Nets dead once and for all.
On one hand, i'm happy they finally stopped being Denver's bitch in these negotiations, but I would have loved to have a game changer like Melo as the centerpiece of this team. They would have mortgaged the whole future to become a 5 or 6 seed in the east so I guess in the long run better off having the flexibility and being terrible so you get better draft picks.
Not really sure where the team goes from here besides praying you land the first overall pick and draft a franchise player. I'm happy to hold on to Favors but Harris needs to go and I'm losing hope in Lopez and his poor rebounding.

Lopez playing better in the past couple weeks gives credence to my theory that Brook was still recovering from Mono. Even after you get rid of Mono, it takes a looooong time to fully recover.Joe Pesci wrote:Proky tells Denver to fuck off. Melo to the Nets dead once and for all.

I certainly wouldn't trade the guy for peanuts after one down year, but he's not untouchable if the opportunity presents itself.
Harris is a different story. He represents everything that has gone wrong with this team since the Kidd era. He tries to play through injuries and I respect him for that, but he really is not a very smart player and plays poor defense.
I'd love to see the Nets get involved in a deal for OJ Mayo. Not sure what Memphis wants for him but the Nets do have 5 first rounders the next 2 years and a couple expiring contracts in Troy Murphy and Kris Humphries (one of thew few guys on the team I hope they keep around - at the right price). Vujacic is expiring too but I don't think they can trade him.

Boozer/Noah is one of the best 4-5 combos in the league. Taj Gibson is an elite-level backup PF. Asik is developing at a rapid pace. Kurt Thomas can still provide some decent minutes, as he's proven since Noah got injured. You really think we're gonna lose because our big men can't match up with that of the Lakers and Celtics?keepitreal95 wrote:The Bulls are still too inconsistent, and despite the addition of Boozer there's no way they can beat the top teams w/ size (LA, BOS). I don't know how you can say that the Bulls are "still too inconsistent" when we haven't had Noah and Boozer together for the majority of the season.
New coach, new players in Boozer, Brewer, Korver, Thomas, Watson, Asik, etc. Terrible injuries to Noah and Boozer, who are both all star caliber players. Despite all of that, we're still winning at a 67% clip. I'm happy.

UNTIL the playoffs prove otherwise or prove bulls fans correct, i'm gonna have to agree with roy here. no noah is huge. no boozer last night AND no noah means you lose to the bobcats and score 82 points. not fair to judge the bulls unless you judge them WITH noah and boozer, which has yet to be seen really yetRoy Johnson wrote:Boozer/Noah is one of the best 4-5 combos in the league. it's actually amazing what philly's perimeter defense does. lou williams just blocked a gilbert arenas lay-up, then two plays later sticks his hand out in the passing lane deflecting it to a teammate, beside lou, thaddeus and iggy are tremendously long and quick, respectively, and jrue is a relatively big pg who is a really slick defender.
magic have 24 points with 8 left in 2nd quarter. all their passes and dribbling get contested. some shots do too.

They are going to have to pick it up on the road because they are not a good road team. They are going to have to play lights out at home too. If they can get over the Clipper trademark of losing leads in the 4th, then they could possibly make the playoffs. If BD can continue to play at the level he's been playing at lately and above, they have a shot. If he gets hurt (which is highly likely considering his injury history), they will be toast. BD is the key. BG and EG are factors, but BD is the engine that stirs the drink.jredd109 wrote:Big Breeze wrote:BG second game of a back-to-back and he gets 47 and 14.
That is the most points scored so far this year.
He was effecient too because he did it on 24 shots.
This was an all-star spot clinching game.
It truly is a wrap.
can the clips make the playoffs this year? they're 6 wins out of 8th with 42 games left. they seem to have found some confidence.
I'm going to say that they won't make it though. Something weird will happen in terms of bad luck or a key injury. It's the Clipper way.
Lil Wayne on the Miami Heat:
When Wayne sat court-side at a recent Miami Heat/New Orleans Hornets game he was upset that Lebron James and Dwayne Wade never came over to talk to him.

"Them niggas never speak to a nigga," he says. "They don't chuck me the deuce or nothing. Nigga spent all that money on them fucking tickets ... Come holla at me. We sit right by them little bitch-ass niggas. At least come ask me why I'm not rooting for you."

i wigged the fuck out because i picked the under of the game, panicked when the score was 3 points away from the over with over a minute and half left in ot, and somehow (well not somehow, becuase of a ton of shitty shooting and ton of offensive rebounds) it fucking ended that way at 99-98 (complete with iggy missing an easy lay-up by the way with five or six seconds left, wouldn't have affected my shit but he coulda, you know, won the fucking game)Tired & Broke wrote:yea Philly blew that game.Reason wrote:HEY ANDRE IGUODALA

EG just tore ligaments in his right ring tonight. He's gonna give it a go after the half, but he's already saying it is painful in an interview before the halftime break.Reason wrote:reallyreallyreally hope it doesn't happen to bg or eg thoughBig Breeze wrote: I'm going to say that they won't make it though. with 3 seconds left in 3 rd quarter, acie law dribbles to about 40 feet from the hoop and puts up a running jumper and it bounces in, around, out, off the backboard, and back in!...sickness
--------------------------------------
83-83 blazers-kings. let's see what kind of shenanigans they're up to
48.5 seconds left.
batum inbounds to andre. andre gets it to batum on the wing who passes to lamarcus. lamarcus gets doubled in the post and he kicks it out to a wide open wes matthews on the opposite wing who swing passes beautifully to andre miller in the corner who takes the pass and quickly dribbles two steps closer before nailing a baseline jumper.
85-83 blazers. timeout kings.
33.0 seconds left.
evans inbounds to landry who kicks it back out to evans. evans IMMEDIATELY splits two defenders and gets in the paint to quick it out to a WIDE OPEN landry. instead of taking a wide open 18 foot baseline jumper, landry hesitates, then pulls back his arms as if to pass only to get BARELY TOUCHED on his arm by a closing-in lamarcus. foul. two free throws. he calmly hits both.
85-85 tie. timeout blazers.
26.2 seconds left.
wes matthews inbounds to andre miller. the clock ticks away as andre stands hunched over with his hands on his knees with the ball by his belly. there is a 1.7 second difference between the shot clock and the game clock. while andre waits near halfcourt, here is the set-up. batum is in the far opposite baseline 3pter, rudy is in the far opposite corner 3pter, lamarcus is patiently waiting exactly at the middle of the free throw line as dalembert is slightly hugging him, and wes is on andre's near corner but 18 feet from the hoop, not at the 3pter
andre starts moving with 12 seconds left to the near corner 3pter as wes also converges to set a pick for him, wes quick pops out behind the 3pt line while andre works his man and gets a pass into lamarcus in the side post. dalembert slickly and smartly switches off andre and back on to lamarcus quick enough to make lamarcus take a half fadeaway baseline 15 footer which misses.
