The War Report or Hell On Earth?

Post by Jaz »

Both superb albums from Queens and I would imagine that most of you would choose Mobb's second album, but there might be some that would choose CNN's debut...speak...

Would honestly rather listen to Pink Friday than either of these two albums in 2011

If I had to choose: "War Report." Both records are really fucking good but the X-factor for me is Noreaga. Dude is too hilarious. If I'm going to listen to Mobb Deep, I'd rather listen to "The Infamous" than "Hell On Earth," which is essentially "The Infamous: Part II."

Hell On Earth

Love that album. War Report is cool too, but HOE is one of my favorites, doesn't even compare

Very close..

But..

HOE

The best track from either album imo would be "L.A. L.A." KUWAIT MIX

"War Report" has gems like "T.O.N.Y." "Illegal Life" and "Stick You" but i think the rest is a little bit of filler tracks.

HOE is a more consistant listen imo..

Really nothing weak on here..

And if "G.O.D. PT 3 remix was on here i would def go with HOE even more so....

I have great memories of life from the time of both album releases, living here in Manhattan and how Hip Hop was at the time. When I compare this era of NY Hip Hop to that era it's depressing. CNN had a strong presence with their debut but I liked and still like Hell On Earth more. I've got b-sides, promo material, remixes, underground radio show appearances on cassette and instrumentals from both albums, but I always thought the music and image produced by the Mobb was more interesting.

on the serious tip, Hell On Earth

War Report has better individual songs (LA LA Remix, Bloody Money) IMO. But, HOE is a more cohesive album to me.

It's a shame how badly Mobb fell off.

Hell on Earth for me, but it's close.

Here's a remix to Bloody Money by my man Devamps. Doesn't use all the verses, but I dig it - gives the track a totally different feel.

Hell on Earth by a large margin. Shit is dark and gritty. War Report is mad dope but it has a few average songs that don't particularly knock, and the emceeing isn't as good either.

Hell on Earth(Front Lines) is probably my favorite "chill" and mellow hip hop song ever. And Extortion is a banger supreme.
