Am I tripping or didn't a lot of people say that they had problems with the beats on The Hybrid?

The beats are one of the best things about the album, imo. That beat on "Greatest Rapper Alive" is dat fire, yo.

i'll admit i was iffy on some of the production at first, it really grew on me though. the album in general really grew on me a lot actually, i like it a lot more now than when i first heard it.

Yeah I liked the beats but didn't really like homies voice at first. I only listened to it a few times though so I need to give it some more spins.

Those beats were the truth. Especially Nowhere 2 Go.

yeah, he switches his voice up as much as he switches themes in his songs, dude is definitely versatile and shouldn't be pigeonholed as a funny punch line Young Zee wannabe, like some people are saying.

The conceit is pretty much Candyman adapted to Detroit, right? Or am I thinking of some other movie?

Hot Soup is my favorite danny brown album.

especially "Head" - damn strange hearing that dude write a sincere track, but it's a good fucking song.

"Thank god" is another song in that vein that I like a lot.
Brown is way more versatile than he gets credit for.

"Juno" too. His voice is very versatile too, especially comparing the funny punchline heavy tracks and the serious ones.

...Yet he isn't the subject of a 13+ page thread and isn't the darling of every rap journalist in the Western Hemisphere.

I don't get it. He's no Lil B or anything, but...

Fuck that shit Paul Wall Winklevoss. I made that thread to compare and contrast several artists. Don't put me back in the stale old recycled thread ghetto. I'm a peacock. I need to fly. And that post needs a home in its own, original thread, pendejo.

ahhrg blast your'e going too fast

but i caught the og version of ice's post
...Yet he hasn't played an impromptu industry showcase / Philaflava convention in NYC and he doesn't have 13+ page threads devoted to him in M2C. Does he need to threaten to fuck another rapper in the ass? Does he need to wear door knocker earrings or some Supreme gear? I don't get it.

Merged. Edited. LOL.

Hawaiin Snow has been featured in the rotation heavily.

Sometimes Danny gets lazy and really spaces out his words and it pisses me off.

Edited cause I didn't mean it as an attack on Tyler or OFWGKTA, just a comment on what I think is a unwarranted disparity in enthusiasm and coverage of Danny Brown compared to Lil B and OFWGKTA.

I get OFWGKTA's hype, I just don't think any of them is touching Danny Brown on the mic. As for Lil B, I don't get the hype at all.
