Danny Brown - The Hybrid

Post by GM Dizzy Skillespie »

shit dropped last week.

nobody peeped it?

This dude is probably my favorite Detroit rapper right now. Got that screw loose style that D-12/Em postured, except he's far grittier, instead of gimmicky with it.

The opening track "Greatest Rapper Ever" is sets shit off:

I ain't trickin' wit ya hoes
for shit, don't ask'em
the only thing I give a bitch...
a fucking orgasm

I'm spitting that dope shit
smoking on regulars
writing 16s like internet child predators

I rap like I bet my life
because in all actuality, bitch I did!

Danny Brown is cool. Detroit is one of my favorite regions to get hip hop. They get it in out there.

was surprised by a few of the people he grabbed beats from, Danny! Swain (def jux signee), Chuck Inglish (Cool Kids) and Mainframe (LA, down with Blu).

most of the beats are from people I never heard of though.
shame he didn't get any black milk beats... shit is like heresy in the D.

^ Good lookin out fam. I've seen the name Denmark Vessey before, but I thought he was from Denmark. It's good to know that he's from Detroit and Crown Nation.

I got both albums as of now.

word word.

yeah i realized when i posted the lyrics, it was mostly in his delivery of them, the lil wayne effect, if you will.

it's all in the candor.

"used to get domed up by crackheads" may be the best line to set off a verse ever.
