Crazy. I had no idea Jay Z knew Mark Twain. He's much older than I previously suspected. Illuminati is good for the skin.promoking wrote:"A wise man told me don't argue with fools, cause people from a distance can't tell who is who" -Jigga Man

I get what you dont like. But I'm sure he makes some songs you would like. I can easily say Grieves doesn't make music for philaflava. This is a bad pool to put him in. He does what he does well. He may not be anyones cup of tea, that posts here... but to dispute rhymesayers choice on signing him is off base. Mac knew what he was doing and so did rhymesayers. I have no opinion on that whole mix up...previously I did. but its a bad look for me and especially malpractice to make any social commentary about it. so shh malpractice, play your role as a fan and not on a podium.Employee wrote:CasOne wrote:it's very hard to believe you dont enjoy this. You really couldn't be more wrong.malpractice wrote:i already did.
basically, because he's a punk.
grieves just wants to be famous.
he doesnt care about making good music (obviously) or having a good time with friends like most of the other artists i love and respect (rap and non-rap). he'd stomp on anybody to get recognized.
He opened for us for 6 weeks on the road and I really haven't met more genuine, funny, normal, hard-working people than Grieves and Budo...especially when "indie rap" is filled with pretentious douchebags.
I'm cool with Mac and Grieves, but what happened in that situation is between them.

quoted the jay-z lyric cause i wanted to.
didn't know this was an american literature forum.
never said he created the statement.
funny thing is you two obviously assume you're the only ones that know it came from mark twain.

We made assumptions about a well known quote? Didn't mean to. I attributed the quote to Mark Twain not just because this is an American literature forum but because I wanted to point out that Jigga consistently steals lyrics from Biggie, Pac and Twain. You know I'm bustin' ya bawlz, mang. We'll disagree to disagree about what you think I thought you think.

is this why we like indie rap labels in 2010? because they are good at predicting what group of faggots fresh faggot music will appeal to?CasOne wrote:I get what you dont like. it used to be because they took chances on dope, creative artists no one else would take chances on.
CasOne's furious defense of this kind of music can only be interpreted as myopic and transparently self-serving. You really shouldn't expend valuable brain cells trying to search for any logic in his statements.DLG wrote:is this why we like indie rap labels in 2010? because they are good at predicting what group of faggots fresh faggot music will appeal to?CasOne wrote:I get what you dont like.
