this is by the same guy that did Pusher and Bronson. Looks pretty good. Mikkelsenn has been really impressive in pretty much everything i've seen him in.

Hes great. So is Winding Refn. This is another certified winner from Scandinavia. With this, Anti-Christ and Let The Right One In, North-Yerrup is makin serious moves.drizzle wrote:<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/aZeKRUzXqTA&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/aZeKRUzXqTA&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

This film is going to kick all kinds of ass. Refn is one of the finest directors right now. Hollywood could learn a lot from Danish film makers.
The Pusher Trilogy is easily the best film crime trilogy ever made.
I'm going to check out Bronson soon.

Pusher 3 isn't that good.
They should do an American version of the first one, mad potential. Provided they don't piss on the original like they did with Nightwatch.
Danish movies tend to be too alike, but directors like Trier, Refn and August (who I don't really like) break the mold. What else have you seen? i'm curious as to which movies reach the other side of the ocean.

a. the pusher is already fairly reminiscent of the general trend in mid 90s crime movies.Comedy Quaddafi wrote: They should do an American version of the first one, mad potential. Provided they don't piss on the original like they did with Nightwatch..
b. wtf are you talking about with nightwatch

The Godfather is the best American crime trilogy. The 3rd was forgettable. I know some people like to exclude it all together.
I agree Pusher 3 wasn't nearly as good as the first two (I was a bit disappointed to be perfectly honest), but it was probably better than Godfather 3.
I've seen:

a. i suppose you're right, the Frank character is a bit unique the way I see it though. would like to see the American equivalent on screen, del Toro would murder that role.drizzle wrote:a. the pusher is already fairly reminiscent of the general trend in mid 90s crime movies.Comedy Quaddafi wrote: They should do an American version of the first one, mad potential. b. Bornedals Nattevagten being a great movie and Nightwatch being shitty is wtf I'm talking about.
Ghostdog: Any chance you're thinking of Bleeder (another masterpiece from Refn)? It's in the vein of Pusher but more gruesome in a lot of ways.
If you like Mikkelsen then De Gr

i think he means that the indians drove away the vikings as per historical fact, not just in the context of this movie. The Aluminum Falcon wrote:thanks for revealing the ending. still going to see it but will be avoiding new movie-related threads in the future because of shit like this.EMCEE DARTH MALEK wrote:indians win in the end so maybe not
