Holy shit, the demo's are dope ass fuck!! IMO it doesnt get any better than Ras in the mid 90's.

I remember hearing about these demo's all through 95-96. Lot's of heads were dissapointed and felt that the demo's were superior to the final versions on the actual album. Now i see what they mean. These alternate versions are real dope, especially 'reelishymn' and 'nature of the threat'. The different drum breaks and arrangements of the samples add a lot. Glad someone finally dug these out. Mad props Roy.

On the same note, can you check to see if 'On Earth As It Is...' is on the demo...? I remember reading that there was a demo to it that was was slightly different.

Looking foward to that Ras Kass comp.

Sorry, I meant to respond to this before. I checked the demo tape version, and w/ the exception of an outro that kinda sounds like a heartbeat, there is no difference.

This is more recent (2001-ish) but I have a version of "Hot Game" that is slightly different from the one on Van Gogh. Instead of the Royce lines on the chorus they scratch some singing. I can rip it (was off a Priority sampler) if anybody wants it. Not a huge difference but something for the completionists.

There are two different promo versions of Van Gogh, and I think each has a slightly different version of Hot Game.
