Hell, I gave up on "The Wire" when it first came out because of the homo thugs. That shit turned out to be my favorite show of all time, but man, I wasn't trying to watch any of it at first.

Well yeah, I got the first four seasons of "The Wire" and the first five season of "Oz" on DVD, but I'm just saying; HBO show creators are gonna find a way to get some homosexual shit involved, and that shit is unbearable. I've only recently got a chance to watch all five seasons of The Wire (UK telly is ghey) on DVD and I love it. Only problem is I think I'm the only one who watches it. Shit needs more exposure over here.

Yeah I enjoyed it too. Amped for episode two. I don't know if it avoided "all the cliches," but it seemed pretty legit, especially based off the bigoted members of my family who are in the services.
Ziggy is hilarious in this. Although he plays a very similar character to, well, Ziggy.
