All Over Me is alright. Would be a more acceptable single attempt if it actually had a chance of getting any kind of national play....

You are right though, there are parts of the second verse that sound very odd.

^ I like Headshotz the best.

Headshotz (2001) Done Deal 5/5
Love everything about it.

World Wide Mob Figa (2002) Out-Break Records 3/5
too indie & disjointed

Military Mindsate (2002) Warlock 4/5
solid.

Bodyshotz (2005) Mob Shop Ent 3/5
mob shop ent is ap.9's own imprint. this was released in limited numbers, mainly through rapbay.com. it was supposed to be re-released professionally but it never happened. sound quality is low. mainly for big fans.

On The Block (2006) Mob Shop Ent 2/5
Gah. This was when Ap 9 and his manager dj pimp were shopping around for a record deal (they were heavily courted by Suge & Death Row). Ap recorded something like 250 songs and tried to wittle it down to an album. That method never produces a quality record.

Respect My Gangsta (2007) Hyphydration 4/5
As far as an over-the-hill Ap 9 releasing a current album fans can enjoy, this is it. Older heads may take a bit of umbrage at the production though.

Looks like I left out: Ap 9 - The Mob Shop (2006)

http://www.amazon.com/Mob-Shop-AP-9/dp/ ... 47&sr=1-10

I don't think I've ever heard it. Looks like the second batch of those 250 songs he recorded

Rob Lo is a sick producer and is largely responsible for shaping a lot of the Figz and the Pittsburgh, CA sound in general.

His work on Jacka's earlier releases in particular is :ohsh:

one of the bay's most slept on producers.

Marvaless sort of gets in the way (its a FriscoStreetshow release, it had to have a downside) but otherwise it's quality Mob shit from Jack & Hus.

It's from that time period when Husalah always sounded like he was "on one" and freestyling his verses. Referring to himself as Jesus Christ and his music as "Animal Knock"

Sheeit, im really suprised to see this topic on a philly forum yo, but the jacka's my nig boy...

Until the new release "Tear Gas" drops check out his other albums he been doin in between. His third Album "The Jack of ALl TRades", but the best shit i think he's done since the Jack Artist is prolly, the Album that dropped last summer, "The Devils Rejectz: 36 Zips" and thats an album with Ampichino, its dope as fuck...

Links? yeah, they have too many damn albums. i've got something like 19 in my cd case in the car. That devils rejects cd would have been a lot better without ampichino.

yeah, halfway through the year and no release date in sight. sort of sketchy even for an indie album.

about a month ago I saw the kid who produced "Aspen" say that they were still working on it.

at this point i'm not even waiting on it. i'm more interested in that project he has with Laroo. 20 Bricks is a beautiful piece of music.

you can check for updates here:

Both new. Both awesome. Especially MT3. If these are the Jacka tracks that didnt make Tear Gas, I am positive that it will be his best album yet.

RE: Power Moves Vol. 1

Was surprised. This is a damned fine compilation. Rare to say these days.

Keak's P.I.M.P. is outstanding.

Young Doe's impersonation of Rich The Factor on Noise With The Engine is a favorite also.

California Thumbs Up.

Quality music. Solid LP if a bit samey at points. You need records like Battlefield, 300 (My Life), and Purp in your life.

Bern masterminded the album w/ Equipto and was the driving force behind this too.

he does good work.
