A little bird told me that he's recording a rap album, big boi's recording a rap album and then the two are recording the next outkast album.
So my prediction is that over the next year, Andre will be the biggest dude in rap. not wayne. not common. not nas ( @ nas) not jay. no more dinosaurs.

A) I thought the projected recording schedules of Dre, Boi, and Kast had been public knowledge for some time. Like at least for 4-5 months.
Nah, no one's said whether it's a straight rap album or not. I mean he hasn't really rapped in 4 years or whatever, but someone in his studio told me that's the plan.
He isn't a dinosaur at all- he's changed his style up time and again...on some david bowie shit.

He isn't a dinosaur at all- he's changed his style to bite Lil' Wayne now, but with a robot voice. Next level.
I get you on the rapping thing though. And I meant a dinosaur in terms of age moreso than in terms of style.

He's somewhat younger than the Nas/Common jet set, though... right?

pretty sure he and Nas are basically the same age. Common might be a year or two older.
why did u at the idea of nas being the biggest dude in rap and not at common
the idea of common being the biggest dude in rap gets the everytime.
not only that, in your list of wayne jay common and nas, one name stands out to me that doesn't belong. I'll give u a hint..it starts with C and it aint carter (either of them).
I've seen that allegation thrown around here a few times. It's definitely the other way around. Sorry guys.
thank you. cuz i now dre been rapping like 3000 before wayne starting doin whatever it is wayne does.
regardless of who we want to attribute mispronounciation and pausing on beat in-between syllables in the middle of words (my guess is it started with neither of them) for the purposes of rhyming, Dre's really NOT coming off like he used to.
"You do the hokey pokey and you turn your life around"?????

y'all are really on that dude's dick.
I don't sit in here and jock the shit out of Wayne like some either. Dude has a very spotty output, some great stuff, a lot of decent stuff, and a lot of very cringeworthy stuff. But this thread isn't about Wayne it's about Dre. And his verse on "Royal Flush" is not only bad, it ruins the entire song IMO. Matter of fact most of the uber-jocked guest appearances he's made in the last year have been extremely corny. Stream of consciousness/run-on/hippyish/coffeeshop/robotvoice clichedom. If that's really what y'all want from your rappers do you, but I don't find his resurrection to rhyming to be quite as monumental as much of this forum does.
Dre's "spectacular" guest verse output of the past year or so has been annoyingly preachy. Keep singing like a queen if you are going to return to rapping in order to "make a difference".
I totally didn't realize the age of this thread and got really excited for a hot minute. And then I was profoundly disappointing and a little irritated. That's how that went.
