Robyn

Post by blastmaster »

On the eve of the release of her new self-titled album I feel like a thread is beyond necessary. After a string of undeniable white-pop hits in the 90s, Robyn faded into obscurity as quickly as she burst on the scene.

She is back on some funky diverse futuristic fuck Gwen Stefani in the face rappy dope electro flyness.

Lets Celebrate this ugly yet talented whigress.

Is the new one really called "Robyn" too like the one which came out a couple of years back?

Anyway, the 2005 self titled one is exquisite (good call mentioning Stefani - that sqwauking ska-core bandwagon jumper wishes she could create electro-pop that's as deliriously fucked up as Robyn's) and "Konichiwa Bitches" is up there amongst the very best femme-pop of the past couple of years with "1 Thing", "Since U Been Gone", "Hung Up", "S.O.S", "Maneater" and Girls Aloud classics like "Wake Me Up" and "Biology".

I'll buy the new album blindly.

I might have to start a Punk/Hardcore/Metal upload thread because this forum is really going down the shitter. At this rate, it's going to be eclipsed by the "Phlea Market".

I think the only two new tracks are Jack you Off and With Every Heartbeat. With every heartbeat is fucking fantastic, as is the rest of the album which I've been listening to since early 06 (based, admittedly, on Pitchfork's high praise for the album on their best of '05 lists of singles and albums.
General Interests: Fine herbage! Keepin it real, Jui Ryi Ki Kung-Fu (Blue belt with shuriken certification). Banging the skins with my smokin band 'TwaughtHammer'. European motocross (plan to attend Wheelie School in Vegas this summer). MILF's, MILF's, MILF's, MILF's!

Education: J.P. Wynne High School, DeVRy University data systems management... The STREETS, YO!

Whisper it, but it's actually possible to enjoy both Converge or High On Fire AND Robyn or Girls Aloud.

No doubt. I'm just sayin' this forum has been dead lately and any new threads like this although well-intentioned and not adverse to the board's health, they're not improving the situation either.

A forum name-change might be in order too.

I like pop music too, I just think this chick sucks. At least that song Konichiwa Bitches did. Don't care enough to listen to anything else after that.
