Voted Elton.

I'm not gay or depressed, so I chose the more rocking album.

Voted against Radiohead. At least Elton John is out in the open about sucking cock.

Can someone upload Yellow Brick Road by any chance?

What? Do you guys actually know anything about music at all? "Radiohead is ghey. now me go lay down". The fuck out of here with that shit. I'm honestly sure that the majority of the people calling it "gay" haven't even heard the album. or even know what it's about. Can't get anymore ignorant than that. While Goodbye YBR is Elton John's best work and a good record it's not even in the same league as OK Computer. One of the best albums of the 90's. An album people will still be in awe of 50 years from now. An album that gets better with repeated listens (as all great albums do). Radiohead should run away with this, but sadly it will not.

Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

and while i think ok computer gets some unfair hate on this board, saying it should run away with this matchup is some serious fanboy talk.

lol @ the reactionary ok computer hate. a fantastic album that is getting hated on now probably because of the perceived gayness of the band and the gayness of their subsequent material and the gayness of their pinheaded diehard fans and the fact that every "hip, eclectic" quasi-music nerd college kid (ie. half of this board, and 75% of the haters) couldnt stop drooling over this album circa 2000.

everything you said about ok computer can be said about yellow brick road. it's one of the best albums of the 70s and i think its safe to say people will still be in awe of it in 16 years. it gets better with repeated listens, as well. i can't think of a single reason ok computer could be argued as unquestionably better than goodbye yellow brick road.

Goodbye YBR isn't even in the top 15 albums of 1973 let alone the 70's.

Yea, sure. Personally I wouldn't put it in my top 15 for 73, but I could see how you could chalk that up to opinion. But no way it's top 10.

Innervisions
Selling England by the Pound
Raw Power
Future Days
Head Hunters
Dark Side of the Moon
Paris 1919
Houses of the Holy
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Call Me

Were all better albums for 1973. and you want to talk about the 70's as a whole? Opinion dismissed.

"Bennie And The Jets" > Radiohead's career.

..Biz's cover was better than the original, though. I tried with "Ok Computer" - really, i did, but it just bored me to the point where i found the ticking of my watch more interesting.

really like Yellow Brick Road, but

went with Radiohead because of:
Exit Music -- most evil song ever, lyrically and sonically
Paranoid Android
Karma Police

radiohead is the most overrated band of all time. heaps and heaps of pretentious self important nonsense, which pink floyd already did with far more talent and style
