bwahaha

smithee, you're buggin

nba is a buisness. they want either big city teams or exciting teams in the finals. they generate ratings.

if the nba wanted the gays in the playoffs, golden state wouldn't have won in the first round.

As a Knicks fan, I gotta say it's awesome to see Kurt Thomas having such a great series. He has been HUGE.

Also - FUCK THE SPURS.

The NBA game is dominated by the charge call. Almost every player now would rather go for the charge than go for the block. I saw shaq doing it several times in that bulls series. I think charges should not go towards personal fouls.

Man, I would love to see Nash just beat the shit out of Ginobili. You know Nash could destroy that South American greaseball.

Did I mention that I hate the Spurs?

Like San Antonio and Detroit? That could happen, and they don't really meet your criteria.

the Warriors did not get the majority of the calls against dallas...u rele think david stern was pushin for that upset?.....GS just had their number....

but round 2 it definitely seemed like they didn't want GS in the semis....or even to force a game 6 or 7....which wouldve got more ratings fa sho going back to oakland for game 6.....

and uh, salt lake city? they are definitely not a major city nor an exciting team to anyone not named u-can or iceicle.....

so no sry pop i dont see your point....

utah outplayed golden state. if you are trying to blame the refs which i can't even see, you are out your god damned mind. maybe if you weren't a golden state fan, you wouldn't be like "OMG THE REFS SCREWED US". and in the dallas series, the reffing was skewed towards Dallas in only one game that i remember. I can't remember off the top of my head. but everyone was getting ejected. it was pretty ridiculous.

my point is that there is no favoritism right now between san antonio and phoenix amongst stern and nba officials. it's ridiculous. why would they want to see the spurs advance over phoenix? the suns would generate more excitement and ratings. the NBA is praying for a Phoenix vs. Cleveland NBA Finals of the teams left.. You are bugging if you think otherwise.

Not sure why you are arguing with a guy who has said on this one page alone:

-the league which fixes the games for ratings tried to have less games by making calls so the Jazz could embarass the underdog 8th seed Warriors in 5 games?

-The NBA wants Spurs vs Utah (a ratings disaster) because they are gay? He also wishes he was more into NCAA which is less gay I guess.

-Also let Fischer know he "dont play for the lakers anymore you play in fucking salt lake city" and then said "you aint tight, bitch. and btw okur you're a faggot too." as if maybe they were reading what he wrote?

 i should stop posting in this thread drunk....

no, I'm not saying the refs cost the Warriors the series nor am I saying we were the better team...I'm just saying the NBGay rele seemed like they wanted that series over quick. like they were already embarrassed enough we made it as far as we did.

and for the record matt barnes got no calls @ all!!!!!!! kinda mad about that.....

If Utah goes on to win a ring... it'd be Memhet Okur's 2nd.

Would he be considered the best Turkish player ever?

Not much to say or complain about. If the Bulls aren't shooting well odds are they are going to lose. I'm happy the team made this a series though...thought it was big going on the road and winning an elimination game. The only thing that gets to me is that Big Playoff Time BEN WALLACE absolutely SUCKED in games 5 and 6. Way to earn that money. PJ Brown is out there busting his ass while "our leader" seemed to be coasting.

I was really surprised that Utah handled G.S. as easily as they did. I really thought G.S. would beat them.

A fucking Utah/San Antonio series would be so damn boring.

Whoever wins the S.A./Phx series is most likely winning the whole thing.

it's been stated before but the nba does not want a utah/ san antonio series. they're two of the least popular teams in the league. if anything they wanted golden state to win so bad because they're the cinderella story. that story sells so much merchandise. You need to realize that though Golden State picked it up towards the end of the year it wasn't something totally magical like the group mentality in that building and the bay would lead you to believe. it was almost an anomoly how it worked out that they matched up so well against Dallas and could beat them up like that but the only other squad i think they could have done that to in the west would be Houston. Everyone else could play with them. To me i viewed their style of play like blackjack. You may get up in the short term but in the long term the odds catch up to you and the three pointers doom you.

AS much I dislike the Spurs...I enjoy watching them play? Maybe because I want to see them lose so bad and they also produce quality basketball games. Jazz are also a good team to watch...so I don't think the series would be as horrible as people might expect...but I understand why the league would be terrified of that western conference finals.

First time I remember in my life... When a home team is about lose out of the playoffs, when the starters are pulled and the white flag is waved, the crowd typically gives a big encore for such a great season... Chicago didn't last night.

What a bunch of bitches. Show some gotdamn respekt.
