Packers make strong offer for L.J.
Posted: Friday April 27, 2007 10:43AM ET

A source outside of the Chiefs organization informed Scout.com that the Packers have offered their first overall pick (16th overall) and fourth round pick (112th overall) in this weekend's NFL draft for RB Larry Johnson. If the Packers and Chiefs agree on a trade, it is likely that a verbal agreement on a contract between Johnson and the Packers would have to be in place.

Moss to Packers deal still possible

Look for the Randy Moss-to-Green Bay talk to come back soon, and look for the trade to happen some time Saturday or Sunday, especially if the Packers pass on a wide receiver in the first round.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 26, 2007) -- The Kansas City Chiefs quickly dispelled rumors they are shopping Pro Bowl running back Larry Johnson before the NFL draft.

Team spokesman Bob Moore said the Chiefs have not offered Johnson to anybody and that no team has been given permission to speak with him.

"Anybody who is reporting it's true is simply not telling the truth," Moore said.

LJ is the future of KC. He isn't going anywhere.

i wouldn't be suprised to see KC trade LJ and then draft a RB. rumors are that LJ wants a boatload of money.

if I was KC I would jump on the 1st and 4th deal in a heartbeat, LJ has had a shitload of touches the past 28games, RBs rarely keep that pace up

i wouldn't be upset if green bay traded for LJ, but i'm not actively hoping for it. like eternalreflection said, he's due for a severe dropoff in productivity in the near future.

the moss scenario, on the other hand, would be great, and the chances for that seem pretty good.

yeah, LJ has had way too many carries. i worry for any RB that plays under Herman Edwards. he will work you into the ground.

i guess GB didn't want to give up a 4th rounder for Moss, even though Favre really wanted him lol

Favre should have retired a long time ago. He is going out like Johnny U and Joe Namith, not in an Elway/Bus way.
