Both superb albums from Queens and I would imagine that most of you would choose Mobb's second album, but there might be some that would choose CNN's debut...speak...
Would honestly rather listen to Pink Friday than either of these two albums in 2011
If I had to choose: "War Report." Both records are really fucking good but the X-factor for me is Noreaga. Dude is too hilarious. If I'm going to listen to Mobb Deep, I'd rather listen to "The Infamous" than "Hell On Earth," which is essentially "The Infamous: Part II."

I have great memories of life from the time of both album releases, living here in Manhattan and how Hip Hop was at the time. When I compare this era of NY Hip Hop to that era it's depressing. CNN had a strong presence with their debut but I liked and still like Hell On Earth more. I've got b-sides, promo material, remixes, underground radio show appearances on cassette and instrumentals from both albums, but I always thought the music and image produced by the Mobb was more interesting.

Hell on Earth by a large margin. Shit is dark and gritty. War Report is mad dope but it has a few average songs that don't particularly knock, and the emceeing isn't as good either.
Hell on Earth(Front Lines) is probably my favorite "chill" and mellow hip hop song ever. And Extortion is a banger supreme.
