Searching for selling your verses

Im wondering how everyone feels about people advertising their verses. To me, it was always like "ah cool, they did a track together? How'd they meet?" not "Oh, i wonder how much he payed him."

Percee P is notorious for this. Posting MySpace bulletins every couple days, and sometimes twice in a day, "How would you like to have a song with the legendary Percee P?" I asked him if he charged Aesop. He never replied.

Basically, is it fucked up that artists are putting it out there on a daily basis?

its part of the business.. when you see major or semi-major acts.. soliciting like that its a good thing for upcoming indie acts... get your business right and you can pick up a verse for relatively cheap and then promote it right..

aint shit for free... and if it is.. you usually don't want it.. btw you are a fucking idiot for asking how much he charged aesop...

Anytime someone performs on someone elses record they normally get cash or royalties. In most cases they get both.

I think its funny some kids will pay out their pockets so they can have a outshine them on their CD-R tho.
