Whoa. A few guilty LoLs in here but I really hope he makes it (if this is true).
As a fan of hip hop I will say this: events like these can alter people and they come back inspired, motivated to right wrongs from the past, etc.... and NO-ONE in hip hop needs it more than Guru with all the delusional tirades, the new "super"producer talk, the auto-tunes mumbling... getting out of control in the club... and worst of all, denying the history he created with Gangstarr. They represented the back-bone of hip hop and something essential was lost with their break-up. A lot of rappers barely have a purpose but Guru does have one with Gangstarr, so if this rumor is true hopefully he gets over that little porn incident and finally reaches out to Primo again for 2010. EPMD did it, Nas and Jay made amends, and this reunion has been waiting to happen for years. This if anything could make it happen and something good would come out of it.

Primo was on Sirius tonight, I guess Eclipse spoke, Preem didn't.
But, yeah, he's in a coma from Cardiac arrest and is going in for surgery
tomorrow.

why wouldn't they perform any necessary surgery right now?
being comatose can get quite touch & go. the main objective is to keep the patient alive.
open heart surgery on the other hand always includes some degree of risk of complications.. they don't even like to perform surgery on people who are sick
There were multiple reports today that Keith גGuruג Elam, from the legendary Gang Starr has suffered cardiac arrest and is in a coma. (i.e. HipHopDX and HipHopWired) My sources have only confirmed to me that yes, Guru is in a New York-area hospital after a cardiac episode. And that his friends, family and a generation of fans are currently praying for the best. Iגm also hearing that Guru is undergoing surgery soon. So, until more concrete details are available and we wish for the best, here are some of classic Guru momentsג¦.
Update: Guruגs former partner, our friend DJ Premier was set to call into DJ Eclipseגs HipHopNation/Sirius show to speak on Guruגs health, but has decided to wait. Perhaps because his condition is so tenuous.
