this amount of attention for a Raekwon album in 2009 is unacceptable. if the album were called Immobilarity 2, nobody would be talking. Instead its OB4CL2, which it really has no business being called, so it manages to receive hype for multiple years until its release. maybe the album won't be horrible....but it will probably be the equivalent to 'fishscale' or some other decent but forgettable new age wu album.

yeah yeah that sample comes from the OST of the Education of Sonny Carson, hence the name of the song "Sonny's Missing".... "Pyrex" has the same ill sample as O.C.'s classic title track "Jewelz" but its no where near as dope. :ohsh: @ Beans verse, shit sounds pretty thoro, Ima support it. This and the new Mega are the main 2 albums I looking forward to for the remainder of this year.

hahahaa! @ Elton John "Rocket Man" sample

this will be good, but these snippets didn't have me thinking I was about to hear another classic record.

still, I'm hella surprised this is maintaining possibility of being a dope record.

Agreed.
Heat from top to bottom.
It's been awhile since a whole album/mixtape held my attention....

Keep doing what you do, homie. What else do you have for us?

The Ghost verse lifted and twisted from Holla was a bit off but otherwise all fire. I love how Nas was worked in there too, it feels like VI2.

Not to mention the beats sound like they were recuperated from the flood in RZAs basement.

criminology 2 was mediocre, not much of a loss. state of grace was great but it's like 4 years old now isn't it?

You probably love the nostalgic feel but strip that beat away and you'd probably think different. It's almost too "safe" to be on the album.

maybe, but just like w/ "state of grace", the album is better w/ it than w/o it. the more good songs the better. even some of those old songs from the mixtapes i think rae coulda thrown on there
