Re: Mapping Out the Stretch & Bobbito Show (with Tape Rips)
All i managed to grab was the 128 stream. In your original link to it the DL button on the forum is greyed out and there's no download button when i visit the site. I'm assuming you got a plug in that is just letting you grab the 128 stream available.

Re: Mapping Out the Stretch & Bobbito Show (with Tape Rips)
Only right that the first two postings are Big L freestyles..his appearances and verses were automatic classics.
Re: Mapping Out the Stretch & Bobbito Show (with Tape Rips)
They're not DLable for me, either. Maybe it's a country-by-country thing, or...do you have a mysterious magical plugin, Craig?HipHopInfinityRIPLOL wrote:so yours was just the 128 and you had DL plug in installed?
PS @hhinfinity, I just have to note that your sig is somewhat ironic in the context of this discussion. ;p
Re: Mapping Out the Stretch & Bobbito Show (with Tape Rips)
yeah, im not getting the DL button either. But let me check, they have at least 2 uploads of each freestyle up there so far, maybe one of them has a dl button.

Re: Mapping Out the Stretch & Bobbito Show (with Tape Rips)
I grabbed the file but it was the 128 version. I just want to clear up if craig has straight up access to the original file posted instead of the 128 version/stream i was able to download. He does post a screenshot of the download button and gives off the impression that it's like for anyone, so just want to clear that up. just want this material in the higher quality possibleafn33282 wrote:They're not DLable for me, either. Re: Mapping Out the Stretch & Bobbito Show (with Tape Rips)
quick note on the 45 King discussion that aleph/nes/serch kinda proctored a couple pages back, and anyone interested. apparently he's been doing a video program interviewing other (great) producers

Re: Mapping Out the Stretch & Bobbito Show (with Tape Rips)
Just in case someone missed this, this show from August 3, 1995 features Smooth Da Hustler, Capone N Noreaga, and Tragedy and was recorded right after the infamous 1995 Source Awards..Still looking for a DL for this one..
PART 1: http://www.mixcloud.com/8675409/stretch ... 1995-pt-1/
PART 2: http://www.mixcloud.com/8675409/stretch ... 1995-pt-2/
Write up from Passionweiss:
"The year was 1995. Bobbito Garcia and DJ Stretch Armstrong took the airwaves just hours after the infamous Source Awards snafu. They interviewed several artists that witnessed the show first hand, including broken linguist Smoothe Da Hustler, and the missing link between park jams and dunn language, Tragedy Khadafi, alongside his newly paroled protégés, Capone-N-Noreaga, a full two years before the release of The War Report. There was no mention of Suge Knight’s dig at Bad Boy Records, Outkast’s southern proclamation, or the low-caliber pistol tucked inside Reakwon’s fake arm cast. The main takeaway here is that Tragedy drove a raggedy Nissan Maxima, Treach’s machine gun flow was already laughably dated by mid-’90s standards, and a 19-year-old Capone held liquor like a colander. This is a historic episode from one of hip-hop’s greatest radio programs, even if the hosts didn’t approach it as such."

they appear to be the same size and going by the naming structure that aug 3 1995 appears to have originated on this board years ago. refer to his link above ^

Like Stretch said, in a time machine.
Alternatively, you could scour EBAY for the next 5 years and still come up with nothin.

Re: Mapping Out the Stretch & Bobbito Show (with Tape Rips)
Ey, so I just got to walk six blocks down St. Nicholas and listen to M. Bob Love spin. Talked to him for four minutes, trying not to be a fool, and he was THAT DUDE. The set was super-good also, with buttah mixing. Mostly 45s!

After I introduced myself and thanked him, I told him I didn't speak for pf, but that it would probably mean the world if he and/or stretch stopped in the thread and said hi. He said he'd get up with nes/verge through the blogspot emails to pass the word along to accelerate past the pf forums signup delay (my advice). Seemed like an okay thing to say? Not a sure thing.
Don't forget, he stays away from tech somewhat (only vinyl at home, etc), so I just thought if someone wanted to make this easy for him/Strech/Sear..... Sleep?
But he was grateful and pleased to hear the response here when S&B mentioned pf back on the anniv broadcast.... He mentioned some of the names here....
I didn't ask him too many questions--didn't want to be /that guy. I saved the "will you and Stretch release the audio archives (VHS)" till next time--Maybe the May 22 screening of Doin' it in the Park, in Harlem. Anyone who wants to go, if I'm not working, I'm there.
Was going to get a little vid (asked), was two tables down from the decks with good lighting, but a family sat down in between and the moment passed.
The shirt is ill comfortable, if you're wondering. I'm thrilled. Peace.
