Agreed. His content is deceptively simple and borders on inane, but is always funny and when he goes on a critical rant it is always razor sharp.
Not to mention, he's got an uncanny gift of making a valid case for some outrageous shit. The way he breaks down men-woman relationships is so fucking good and unlike any other comic out there. considering how worn that territory is, it's impressive.

^wasn't referring to you.
His only album is "Elephant in the room". It's dope...but I feel like he's a comedian that translates better when you see him. I'd imagine a lot of his subtleties may be lost of just audio.

Next time sit through it and I dare you not to laugh while he's singing his fake animal cruelty PSA song.

Since we're talking about comedians what do you guys think of Daniel Tosh? I'm just listening in your talk. I don't know a lot about comedians really. I know he's huge with college kids right now. Is he considered legit or is he on Dane Cook status?

I've seen some of his stand up and it was pretty funny.

O'Neal: Peeped "Elephant In The Room" on the strength of the multiple recommendations here. Enjoyed it.

Tosh: Better than his show lets on.

Tosh is funny, though he could do more with his shtick (nh).

Tosh is okay. He's pretty dislikable though. I like his TV show way more than his stand up but that's mostly cause of the clips.

Jesus Christ how are you all so bitter? I really don't see how something as mindless as a roast elicits such disdain and bother in people. It was a bunch of funny ass punchlines and some real awkward moments to boot. Both chicks were funny. John Lovitz killed and Sheen had a decent rebuttal even tho he didn't get at anyone with more than 1 joke really.

Considering the memes one has sitting in front of them to deal with Charlie there were some obvious jokes but some great left fielders too..

A friend of mine had posted a pic of himself with Steve-O from a comedy show..Now I see why he had black eyes.

I think Mike Tyson trying to keep his coat straight was the hardest fight I've ever seen him in..does he have Parkinsons now?? His joke about the Iliad and stealing from Homer was pretty good..

A 4 out of 5 as far as roasts go.
Have you ever considered the possibility that maybe it just wasn't that good?

It's not like it's hard to parse out the quality of Comedy Central Roasts.

A dais of comics = funny
A dais of b,c, and d list celebrities = not funny

You can basically judge the quality of every comedy central roast in advance by the proportion of working, professional comics present.

Mike Tyson's Courtney Love impression was entertaining, kind of, I guess,
but Gary Busey also played that role last time. John Lovitz is a funny character actor, but has always been a hack, shitty writer. Ross was great, O'Neal was good, Jeselnik was fine. Overall it took a lot of fast forwarding to get through it.
Nope, haven't considered it because it was what a roast is supposed to be: offensive, shocking and pretty damn funny.

Steve-O was the weakest link and what Amy said was on point even though it was harsh. that guy sucks at everything except being an idiot.

Busey killed the time he was on as a target and with his set.

Plus I liked how Amy out of everyone that kind of got heckled by Mike Tyson, just blurting out during their time, was the most in charge of it. On some "Shut the hell up Mike.. I'm telling some jokes over here." vibe. A couple of folks seemed scared which is why it was so funny when Patrice said he was uncomfortable with how comfortable white people were around Mike now..

My main point is people watch this to get a chuckle and a laugh..I got several out of it. I just think people are way too bitter and critical around here. (ESPECIALLY over in M2C.) But yall KNOW you laughed but because you didn't piss on yourselves uncontrollably on the couch it'll get a "Meh, I'm way too elitist to have enjoyed this" attitude.

DEFINITELY NOT dane cook status. he's not amazing, probably doesn't crack the top 15 funniest ppl out all the time right now, but he's legit funny and will go out of his way to make himself look like an ass just to get a laugh. self-deprecating done right with an ironic cocky flair.

dane cook is a fucking asshat. i've heard numerous stories about him behind the scenes just being an egomaniac of mindbender proportions with weird anti-social tendencies (like some dude farted around him and everyone laughed but he got all serious and was like "that's not cool man, go outside next time" without any irony, other random diva shit)
