negative....i just have higher standards than most
Clearly not, if you rate that Cru album so highly.
Cru album is dope, though.
Yeah, it's a decent album, but that's beside the point - it's clearly not better than every other hip hop album that came out since (14 years).

It's kinda better than most of them, though, to be perfectly honest....

I have read Clark Bent refer to 'Moment of Truth' and 'Disposable Arts' as "classics", and they came out the following year. I was just pulling him up on being a contrarian.

And it just struck me as a really odd choice of album to demonstrate the fact that you have 'higher standards than most'.

moment of truth would be one of the ones i was referring to when i said im sure ive forgotten something...thats better than cru...not really sure how i forgot about that

i think ive only said disposable arts is a borderline classic....but as time has gone by i dont think it quite measures up...regardless when i first got it i def wasnt like this is amazing....i was more like this is amazing for 2001

the further this thread goes along the more i see the the fact that people are way underrating the definition of "amazing"

axel foley wrote:I listened to the following front to back more than anything else the past two years. Looking at that list, Earl's stands out to me. If all of the other artists on that list, which I'm a fan of, decided to retire tomorrow, I'd be okay with it for one reason or another (someone else can fill their niche, I'm satisfied with their current catalog, their next album is probably going to suck, etc). Not Earl though.

Earl
BlackenedWhite
Hybrid
K.R.I.T. Wuz Here
Trunk Muzik
Flockaveli
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty

Curious to hear that new Kendrick Lamar album.
