thats whats good , thanks AWAE.
just a quick formation off my head and its prolly overproduced as far as anything youd think for hendrix
dave grohl on drums. he could knock hard on them drums
then id put les claypool on a bass setup. think hed run some serious lines against hendrix grooves
backing up hendrix id even put slash i dont know maybe not. i dont even think someone who stands out should be rhythm with jimi.

you need supporting guys for Jimmi. John Paul Jones on bass, Billy Cobham on drums, Jon Lord keyboards, no second guitar.
true story. having ?uest on the drums would be real goodDLG wrote:this would be terrible because all 4 are band leaders.JaH BLaZe wrote:thats whats good , thanks AWAE.

Supergroups are kind of like the "what if" scenario. It might seem like a good idea on paper, and sometimes it works, but it can be really underwhelming too.
(I heard they wrote and recorded very fast though, so I still have really high hopes for the next album.)
There was some album with Robert Fripp on guitar, Les Claypool on Bass, and the guy from Tool on drums. Also great album, but sounded like a better idea on paper.
Like Them Crooked Vultures.. Don't get me wrong, I like all their separate projects, and the album is way beyond average, but it just didn't live up to my expectations.AWAE wrote:
