Drake- Thank Me Later Track List (NSFW)

Post by stype_ones »

I thought this was his debut solo album? Anyone could make an album with this cast. I guess he is a decent enough rapper but he just strikes me as such a fag and he needs some chicken soup or something his voice sounds like he has a permanent flu. It sucks because J. Cole, who is a much better MC, will never get the shine this dude will get.

fewer guest verses than jay z volume 2. and realistically do you wanna hear more drake or less? i will check for this cause sometimes drake comes nice. hope it's more 'ignorant shit' freestyle than 'best i ever had'.

also note that the only beat i've head off it, 'over', is next level
1. Nas
2. Drake

that's pretty much it fam.

I like some of his verses. I'm just saying, there should be less guest appearance tracks than solo tracks. You gotta show and prove than you can carry the weight of an album. Not saying he has not made some popular songs and he certainly will be successful regardless of the quality of his music, but like I said, you gotta prove you can hold it down on your own too in this game.

This is some Vanilla Ice-level bullshit. All of his cosigners can suck a fat dick too. What happened to the good old days when this mother fucker would have been bombarded by a series of high-profile diss tracks leading to his being ethered the fuck out of existence?

How in the FUCK does this faggot get away with a line like this:

"LAST NAME: EVER, FIRST NAME: GREATEST"

Are you fucking kidding me...? Nobody thought "Hey, didn't this faggot just roll across my TV screen in a wheelchair?"

ETHER THIS FAGGHUT.

yeah but Drake isn't making up his life, pretending he's something he's not.

THAT'S why I'd hate a Rick Ross album, not because of the beats. His beats are dope as fuck.

fuck off.

Please then explain the infamous "Blackberry Freestyle" incident. He's pretending to be a fucking rapper. He can't even rap. I was reading that the writing credits for this album are so muddled that it will likely be tied up in litigation before the year's out. Even Hustle Crowe writes his own shit.

in a world of bland unoriginal rappers drake is the personification of the word nondescript.

There is nothing interesting or remotely non-milquetoast about him other than his sensual eyebrows and peacoat :nofancy:

this. basically he makes fuck awful, bland, generic music with no redeeming features. As a 30+ yr old you have no business listening to this, let alone enjoying it.

comeback season is hands down his best work, and a favorite of mine for some time. that said, since his aligning with young money i haven't looked forward to a single song of his at all. that hasn't changed.

like I said, I can criticize all the rappers I like. Drake had a Bill Duke moment there ("you know you fucked up, right?") simply by saying he was freestyling, when he was reading rhymes off a Blackberry. Obviously lack of experience and awareness led to this, cause someone was there with a camera, so, um... was that a 'freestyle'? Not unless your name is KRS-One, LOL.

He can rap though. Better than a lot of cats. He's witty and got an enjoyable flow. To me.

Do you, homie. I ain't mad at ya

how fucking weakstyle are you guys where you get off on telling others how to live, and seriously mean it? it's a recurring batch of maggotry that infests this website.

what if i was into the music only for the production? can i not listen to what a teenage person is listening to, for some retarded reason? even if I had a job and a life where it was important for me to understand what and why the kids gravitate to the things they listen to these days?

you said some dumb shit, and i need not break it down any further. if you think you are cool for being "above" listening to what "the kids" are listening to, then:

i'm not really defending the guy here (though i think his hooks are pretty incredible and if anyone doesn't i think they're tripping)...but pretty much any rapper that owns a blackberry writes their rhymes on them nowadays, at least all my pals with blackberries. so i don't think he was reading an email or anything.

i've also seen numerous other radio freestyles where rappers are reading from their rhymes off a blackberry, as i'm sure you have, so i just don't see why that is your deciding factor. hardly anyone seems to go off the dome on air.

This is true.

The first (and second) album is about showing and proving. I've got my arms crossed waiting on this kid to drop something, and what does he do? Goes in a panic hiding behind other rappers, scared to even come out. Maybe not, but it looks a little like it.... And yeah that "first name, last name" line was pretty blasphemous when you think about it, this new guy should have known better. Or at least stashed it until it could be even remotely credible.

Still, I'll check for this because it's got a lot of hype to live up to, and that tends to bring out the best in people.

so he said he was the greatest rapper. blasphemy? to who? Rakim?
every rapper should THINK they are the greatest. or try to reach their own personal best.
you guys wanna crucify Drake for saying "last name: ever, first name: greatest" when Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and almost every other rapper in the world has said it in different ways since rap began? ROFLLE my waffles.

that dude Lil B had a song called 'I'm God'. That's REAL blasphemy. (I also like to indulge in great swaths of heart-stabbing blasphemy myself, on both levels: calling myself the greatest, and exposing Christianity's hypocrisy. who cares? "God" doesn't, and neither does Rakim  )

i can understand why some people don't like his stuff. same way Rick Ross's stuff just doesn't do much for me. just move on to another mixtape/album/blog/beef/internet rapper of the week. there's lots out here. Drake's album will come out, do its thing, then we'll be waiting for Andre 3000 and a bunch of other dudes. It's no biggie, Drake's hype isn't as strong as 50 Cent's was before 'GRODT', but it's pretty fuckin strong.

rap needs new energy.

Drake shoulda just put more Canadian flavor on the album (not me :ignore: someone like Saukrates.)

it won't be long now.

I'm kind of looking forward to this. His beats are usually good and his hooks are catchy, and he is capable of making some good music. This album at the very least will provide some enjoyable songs.
