favorite cadence verses (not about the canadian rapper)

Post by Philaflava »

My mind warps and bends floats the wind count to ten
meet the twin Andre Ben. welcome to the lion's den
original skin many men comprehend
I extend myself so you go out & tell a friend
Sin all depends on what you believing in
Faith is what you make it that's the hardest shit since MC Ren
Alien can blend right on in wit' yo' kin
look again 'cause I swear I spot one every now & then
It's happenin' again wish I could tell you when
Andre this is Andre y'all just gon' have to make amends
add on.

You wanna know why I invest all my money into haze and into dope
Cuz right now, I'm currently a slave for Interscope
Respect first, then money - basic shit
If you got niggaz under pressure, you could take they shit
Listen, I'ma leave you right where you stand
Have the ambulance pass ya Timberlands off right to ya man
Cuz he pussy, he ain't gonna do nothin but look
When it come to beef, he don't wanna do nothing but cook
As soon as the chrome scope him, right there, two in the dome
Smokin, Kiss keep funeral homes open
I fall back, smoke an ounce in the dark
Bounce on a Preme track like I bounce on a NARC
Keep playin, y'all niggaz will burn
and you know they say it takes somethin to happen for niggaz to learn
Let the .40 Cal give em a perm
This industry is like bacteria and my flow is a germ
Just mad cuz you'll never be as nice as I am
J to the mwah and I'll leave you right where you stand, huh...
The Revolution won't be televised On Channel U

I first thought this was going to be about Cadence Weapon.

For some reason, after reading this thread, Lauren Hill pops into my head. That Jadakiss verse off Rite Where U Stand is a strong contender as well. Especially that first part.

Yeah, yeah behold, as my odes, manifold on your rhymes
Two MC's can't occupy the same space at the same time
It's against the laws of physics
So weep as your "Sweet Dreams" break up like Eurythmics
Rap rejects my tape deck, ejects projectile
Whether jew or gentile, I rank top percentile
Many styles, more powerful than gamma rays
My grammar pays, like Carlos Sanatana plays, "Black Magic Woman"
So while you fumin I'm consumin mango juice under Polaris
You just embarrassed cause it's your "Last Tango in Paris"
And even after all my logic and my theory
I add a motherfucker so you ig'nant niggaz hear me
Crew remember take notes, as I sow my rap oats
And for you biting zealots, here's a quote

I usually listen to Zealots twice when I play the Score because of this verse.

a touching story of ungrateful velcro skulled boy,
with his tored-off face,
and the life-sized sack marionette
he'd thought looked an awful lot like him,
with his time told and mildewed baby clothes of a business man.
jerk, wackoff, slumped, and he's tired, sick with bad posturing.
one can't hold in. oh hell, there's a king of jungle in him yet.
give our young lad middle of america's valise,
but spare the gauze, he's losing poet by the gallon. glory, glory,
bottom of the quicksand's gonna give him a whole lot less to think about,
than change that steel trap perspective would perhaps...

not sure what the criteria is, but if I'm going to take an educated guess on what it is I would mention ghostface on "future thugs" and camu tao on "death of chris palko"
