Shaq has a similar game to Dwight Howard.

the only difference is Shaq was a trillion times better at the same age.
Yup. Shaq also was an alpha dog. Dwight Howard is more like a poodle.
Exactly. Shaq had a temper. You didn't want to make him mad.

Also, Shaq has much more skills then Dwight Howard does. Dwight Howard's PER is very gaudy but his actual skillset is very limited. To compare Kobe to Dwight is ludicrous.
Disregarding skills and heart and basketball IQ, who do you think has more raw athletic ability - Young Shaq or Dwight Howard?

I think Dwight does. Guy can jump out of the gym and run like the floor like a small forward. Strength is probably a toss-up.
howard for athletic ability. damn howard just looks awkward sometimes.

I hate when you're making fun of a guy and he makes a big play. :owens:

Shaq is a top5 alltime player, zomg Howard isn't that good neither is Kobe, Wade, Paul, Pierce, Yao, KG and 99.999% of players that have played the game

Duncan is up there

Howard is having a hell of a game tonight, nice timing

But I think Dwight Howard could be just as dominant as Shaq. Seriously.

He has more raw athletic ability, but he lacks low-post moves and a killer instinct.

P.S. Howard is having a good game. We'll see what he does in the 4th quarter where he's been a non-factor through much of this series.

If he shows up in the 4th quarter and they win, I'll admit I was wrong - something you never do.

I hate how you guys do that, the 4th isn't 10x more important, its only important in this game because of how great he's played a mediocre game from him and they are down 10+

22/17 is a complete game, he's carried the team if someone on his team finally shows up and he has a meh 4th its still a monster game

Yup. Just be satisfied with that and pack it in. That's what I expect from the best player on the team. It's not like he should realize he's the best player and take it upon himself to win the game.

UPDATE: Ol' Dwight got his 4th foul and it was a dumb one.

Give me Rondo's heart and toughness over Dwight Howard's athletic ability every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

christ he has to carry the team by himself for the entire 48minutes? I mean how the fuck is this a 1point game

its just that for this to be a big performance in a big game, he doesn't need to do more, he's done a fuckton keeping the team in the game, I mean the teammates have to do something right? it is a team game if i remember correctly

its not fair to trivialize the first 3quarters

Rashard Lewis has a better plus/minus tonight.

Ooooh - using stats against you. How does it feel, man? I bet that shit burns.

I didn't phrase it great, basically you asked for a big performance in a big game, which he's given you but then you go and say its not enough he has to have a big 4th too, its ridiculous

and on that note, Lewis has started making plays about time

Rashard Lewis has been the best player for the Magic in this series.

See, that, eternal - it's the 4th quarter and Paul Pierce is taking over.

But he doesn't have a 22 and 18 so it's not important that he's gonna get his team a win...

Not yet but apparently you guys in Minnesota are unfamiliar with the concept of "busting balls".

Scandinavians don't have a great sense of irony/humor/anything, do they?

see I thought that was a possibility but also thought you might actually believe Pierce has had a better game

its tough to tell sometimes

 even Pierce can miss 2FTs

ok a loss here would be pretty soulcrushing

pretty meh 4th from Howard, had a good presence on defense but overall a monster game when his team really needed it

Yup. They lost to the Ottoman Turks in 1509 on Suleiman the Magnificent's running jump hook in the lane over three defenders.
