but it does make sense if time can not be changed and everything that happens always happens. so if that moment in time when desmond told him the numbers is locked in then when he got to the island he already knew that it was desmond who told him.
but that hadn't happened before he got to the island, so your sayin since it does happen anyway after he gets on the island in 1996 that it's already in his book? that's fucked.

tpp wrote:Also Miles last week asked Ben for 3.2 million, perhaps this is a code and Miles is Ben's mole on the boat (who cut the cables).
that wouldn't be cause the mole is still on the ship and opened the door for des and sayid.
i think thats what im talking about. haha.

as for miles he couldnt be because more than likely it was the mole who destroyed the ships communications room and miles was already on the island.

my guess is that contact is michael (most likely) or richard (somewhat less likely)

the "time is locked" thing is misleading though, with Desmond and Charlie it showed that events can be altered but the outcome is still the same, so Faraday can have the correct setup for the experiment because he already conducted it, then send it back with Desmond to give to himself before he even does the experiment. The end result is the same just went about it a diff way.

doesn't something major need to happen between Penny and Desmond?
In 1996 she doesn't give a shit about him anymore,
taking his 'christmas eve eight years from now' story quite lightly.
then in 2001 she begins her search for him.
in 2004 she talks to Charlie, then Desmond.

Maybe it's something I forgot from seasons earlier,
but why does she suddenly start looking for him?

he must have left to race the boat around the world after that since thats how he ended up on the island. so they must have gotten back together at some point between 96 and when he ended up on the island

Was thinking that too, but when he called he couldn't believe she remembered to pick up. If they had been in contact, they probably would have been talking about that shit a lot, and he already would have known what to do/would have remembered the number. Trying to figure it out, but either I'm not smart enough or it doesn't make much sense.

was there ever a date on screen when Libby gave Des that brochure/boat
about sailing around the world?

Do you think she figured out her pop's was into some crazy sinister shit?

I've spent the past four hours, on a Saturday night, looking into this show. My brain hurts, out for mindless fun now.

Whoever posted

is probably, spoiler alert, right on.
shit makes sense

I've got a world of confidence in these writers,
show will be GOAT

Cool. She's a pretty good character that hasn't got a whole lot of screen time so far. I liked her episode last time too.

not an amazing episode but it was still good.

"you might wanna sit down"

got a lil cameo from smokey i assume, the therapist lady.

"see ya at dinner!"

 fuckin ben. one of my favorite tv characters ever.

Yeah Ben is awesome

not a great episode but I'll allow it for the Quidmore thing

Someone asked me about this today, and I forgot..did they ever explain the purpose of the others on the Island? I know they never explained it fully, but I forgot what bits of info they revealed

i thought it was real good. it's just that when you compare it to last week's episode, it's hard to give props. also, i hate when day is saved with 1 second left on timers.......shit is crazy annoying.

i theorize that Faraday has also experienced the time traveling phenomenon but while Desmond went backwards, the present (2004) is Faraday's past, and that he goes between now (2004) and sometime in the future.

pretty good episode.

faraday is a dope character.

ben's obsession with Juliette.

not a surprise with widmore being behind the freighter and im pretty sure we will see that michael is bens contact. but it would be great if it was someone else. maybe jacks pops. or richard.

Pretty good episode.

The general rule with lost is that any episode that involves a walk across the island is just going to be okay.

His whole dinner date scene was
Only real change of character he's ever had,
and all because of Juliet, who looked damn good in her bikini scene, who knew?

Certainly saw Whitmore, ahem, Quidmore, as being the dude behind the freighter, and Ben's man on the boat must be Michael.

Juliet wins on quotes for this episode.

"It's very stressful being an Other, Jack"

"These people came here to wage war against Ben, and Ben's going to win"

Great episode.

The EW links are always appreciated,
I always read that plus

they do great shit on multiple series.

juliet had some good ones but ben killed it with the quotes as always.

after showing juliet the body telling 'take all the time you need'

and passing hurley and sawyer playing horseshoes saying 'see you at dinner'

had a thought but forgot what it was, never really know when to trust what ben is saying. widmore could be bad but could he be worse than ben?

good episode but it really was about ben more than juliet, looks like sun and jin will be part of the people that get off the island, i would have thought that from the start since sun will die on the island and probably the baby

i think its too obvious to have michael be the guy on the boat but if its not michael i dont know who else it would be. i always just thoughy they would be able to bring him back in flash-fowards and that would be why it made sense for walt to look older.

im stil waiting/hoping for kelvin to come back in some way, but where i dont know

when i really think about it. i doubt it's michael on the boat. i mean why would he stay on there with walt? like citizen said i think michael will be shown in flash forwards.
