one theory is that when the "swan" blew up and the sky turned pink that time started to become off from the real world time and is slowly becoming more and more off.

the island though has to be invisible to the human eye or something i mean the freighter or whatever would be able to see the huge thing. so i have no idea what's goin on with that.

From what I've read elsewhere, the rocket was eight minutes off anyways. The timer on the missile read 31 minutes and the timer on the island read 23 minutes, making it (31-23=8) 8 minutes off. Also, that allows for another appearance of one of the infamous numbers to make a relevant appearance again.

somehow not everyone got off the island. ben's doing somehow? so sayid is killing for ben. so that his friends can be rescued? who is he killing? people involved with the "rescue"/naomi's boat. iirc after sayid killed his "girlfriend"/ worker for the econimist he removes a braclet from her hand. one exactly like naomi was wearing that he removed while still on the island. both braclets having some sort of inscription on them.

I can't believe how much work was put into that theory, I'd say it was all bunk if it wasn't so thorough. Very interesting read.

My girl made the keen speculation that since they both had the braclet...they both must have been working for the same person ultimately. Abaddon maybe?
