On the lot
Anyone catch the premiere last night ?
I think 1 dude seems to have it together... the guy who pitche dthe Preist meets the woman of his dreams idea where they get stranded by a flood..
I think this reality show seems to have the closest "cast" to our own phila boards... Most of them seem pretty cool..some of em you'd have to smack in the face before the day was over..
I'd be interested in seeing a DVD of all the short-film entries...

i was just going to catch this whenever, but now that i know that the public can vote on the films, i will be really watching it.
i have a friend who's a filmmaker in nyc so i always imagine him in this kinda shit.
so far, the one dude who worked with the two girls who was a complete asshole reminds me the most of my friend.

The team with the animation technique seems to be the one to beat. Everyone else was NOT ready for those special effects.
www.thelot.com has all the films...which one was the animation team???
time out.
it wasnt really "animation" just special effects.

lol, I'll probably sound like a film nerd, but it is pretty annoying that if you can come up with some CGI people will be wowed and think you are super talented regardless of the actual quality of the piece...

My thoughts exactly. Turning this show into American Idol with movie directors was a shitty idea. Show them MAKING the movies.still illiterate wrote:The format of the show changed for the worse. It feels like american idol now.
I'm much more interested in the process of making the films, then just showing the films.
That host fucked up so many times tonight. She got a nice rack though.
