BLAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHA! Nahh we dont like beating duke more than life itself but it does have its perks and I enjoy it every time it happens especially in Cameron when everybody (the media) is gassed off a squad that really wasnt all that great to begin with (I just dont see it). looking forward to the tournament(s) and one of my favorite times of the year.bringinoutbangerz wrote:Oh your mad cuz Greivis Vasquez was stylin' on you.DredScott wrote:enjoy the victory kid, EVERYONE knows how you delusional maryland fans like beating duke more than life itself...VerbalTec wrote:DredScott wrote:it's gonna be fun to watch this blue devil team.
hopefully some of d'antoni's run and gun play has rubbed off on coach k cause that's the exact kind of play that's best suited for this team.
i don't wanna see any more of that 2-on-10 shit on offense that has been going on the past 2 years.
watch out for scheyer and hendo, those 2 frosh are nice as fuck.
now I get it. now go get your broom out the closet dookey. haha
And Paulis looks like a T-Rex with those little arms.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA@ missing the tournament

Congrats to Coach K for questioning why Hansbrough was still in the game and inadvertently using Isiah Thomas' "he was asking for it" defense. And the Duke fans wonder why everyone hates Duke. If the roles were reversed, and this had happened to McRoberts, Coach K would have shown up for the news conference covered in McRoberts's blood, fighting back tears, urging for the offending UNC player to be suspended for the entire ACC tournament and basically looking like Jackie Kennedy in Dallas after the JFK shooting. God, I hate Duke.

He's on point.. Although if this had nothing to do with the hated Dukies, I think I do agree with K's sentiment....Gregg Popabitch wrote:Congrats to Coach K for questioning why Hansbrough was still in the game and inadvertently using Isiah Thomas' "he was asking for it" defense. I'll excuse the fact that he was in the game.. I just remember watching it and being shocked he was going for a dunk off the offensive rebound at that point..99 times out of 100, that's a kick out, dribble the last 10 seconds, and go home up 12...
I can't even celebrate the Johnnie's return to the Big East tourney without some bullshit.. Lamont Hamilton is injured and has played his last game.. It's a shame because he's been on this team since the Pittsburgh stripper scandal, and hasn't played in one Big East tourney game.. Now he'll never get the chance..
I'll be there tomorrow night.. Anyone have a scouting report for me on Marquette?
Are they beatable (for St.John's) ?

I'd be surprised. That said, I've seen Marquette a couple times and they didnt have anyone who really wowed me. The big kid is a pretty good leaper...I'll be rooting for St. Johns but i'd be pretty surprised.Diggedy wrote:

Sigh...
The place was going beserk last night after Wright tied the game at 45... I was running around the Garden like a maniac...
They allowed way too many offensive rebounds, and that fucking kid Fitzgerald killed us with dagger 3's all night.
And Blastmaster, you're right on the money. Spears was brilliant. What pisses me off is, he has shown flashes of that low post play all season (especially after he came back from his marijuana suspension)... Norm Roberts is a great guy, but he's not a great x's and o's coach.. They are essentially looking at him as a recruiter as a opposed to a game day coach.. But I really felt he could have utilized Spears more last night (and in general)..
They were down 5 with 2 minutes left and had two possessions to cut into it, and took two very bad shots (Geno with a runner that went nowhere, and Mason with a loooooong 3 attempt)..
Down 4 with 33 secs left, after he misses the first FT, my boy says "i'm hoping he hits this.. if he misses and they don't grab the board i'm not getting season tickets anymore".. I can't believe they didn't fucking box him out... Story of the game.. Marquette had like 16-17 offensive boards.
Oh well.. Doesn't look like the NIT is happening.. The NCAA bought out the NIT, and reduced the amount of teams to 32.. They are putting an emphasis on letting the mid major conference winners who lose in their tourney in.. So we wait til next year.
