i dont know what to do about the fact that i like some of their (skynard) songs (sucker for classic rock to begin with) but they wake up on confederate flag sheets, wipe with CF toliet paper, dry off with CF towels and then tie them to their mics on stage.

:omgracist: ?

still, "simple man" is my shit. i get mad :sylvester: , son

Oh man, growin up in Jacksonville I will never have to see any of them bands again. Let's just say the music room was the Billy Powell music room cause the piano player graduated from my high school.

You ever heard "Ballad of Curtis Blowe"? Skynard the band actually always, as far as I know, tried to represent the southern working class, regardless of color. Good stuff.

Now, the majority of their fans, I can't speak for...But I have always thought they were dope along with a ton of other southern rock bands.

i mean, i've never heard anything out of their mouths that would make me think that they had any racism going on.

again, their fans... that's a different story. but don't you think that if they were :omgracist: it would be awfully easy & well-received (see: popular even) for them to spew it when they could?

whether it's twisted logic or not, i do really think they believe in the confederate flag as a symbol of their southern "culture" and not as a symbol of hate.
