not as good as the original (I think I might be in the minority on that, though) but still very good
It's not incredibly popular but I think you underestimate how many people have seen it

Yeah, its Neil Jordan I've seen it a couple times, and enjoyed it. Not amazing, but good enough.
I may prefer the original, Bob the Gambler , a bit more.
'Nuff said.

It is a good movie but nowhere in the same league as some greatest heist movies like the original version of The Italian Job, The Anderson Tapes, Taking of Pelham 1,2,3, Diamonds or McQueen's Thomas Crown Affair.

The Melville film "Bob Le Flambeur"?
If it is based on this then I already know the o.g. is better. Shit is badass.

I'm with you guys, seen Flambeur, haven't seen the Good Thief.
Not really a Neil Jordan fan in general. Don't hate him or anything but I can't say I'm a fan

I like the ending of the Neil Jordan one a bit better actually
Also Nolte makes for a more convincing washed out criminal than Duchesne, who's way too smooth and mannered for a thief on his last heist
Still the Melville one is better overall
