My money says someone blows up in the finale. But hopefully not until after and epic peter Vs sylar fight.

It's gonna be one hour. After I watched Monday's epsode I looked ahead in the DVR to check. I'd definitely like to have two hours but not if they're gonna stick a bunch of useless shit in there. Hopefully the ep will be nice and tight and heavy on the action.b0mbs_of_death wrote:Next week better be two hours. Sulu training Hiro was pretty fucking awesome.
I hope you are bullshitting because if you believe that do i have some investment opportunities for you.Truth. wrote:heard the finale cost was like 90 mill.
Most shows with huge budgets are around 3 to 5 million. Lost's Pilot was 11 to 15 million and that was for 2 hours and a plane crash and shooting in Hawaii. Maybe it was 9 mil for the finale but that seems pushing it with an audiance of 11 millions and in slight decline. It is probably in the neighborhood of 6 to 7 mil.
Actually the finale will be an hour and 2 minutes. So for those of you use ancient VCRs, be sure to pad for extra time.LameAim wrote:It's gonna be one hour. ya not that great.
I guess we were all just hoping it'd turn into a sci-fi action show but they really stuck with the suspense drama deal.
spoilers ahoy:
I liked how the Save the Cheerleader thing came full circle; Mr. Deveaux being a super guy was cool, almost like he was straight up omniscient; this guy that Molly Walker is afraid of is very interesting.
I can forgive the ridiculous loop-hole filled resolution, but Sylar surviving gets a big
I know the writers love him and all but everyone just turning they're back on him and walking away was almost
worthy

yeah like they wouldn't chop his head off or something. but I don't mind Sylar living, because Peter is still going to be alive. they have to fight each other, if not that isSuperFeen wrote:ya not that great.

^ Doubtful. I mean, how would he? Not really sure how Peter would survive to be honest. Falling from that height would liquefy him. I guess he is gonna fly back down or something after he is done exploding? Not sure why Claire or Nathan couldn't just shoot Pete in the chest a few times, then extract the bullets and have him regenerate. Meh.
Yeah the whole finale was sort of a let down. Glad Sylar is alive, he's too good of a character and had way too much buildup to go out like that. I must o
Looks like Hiro's dad is immortal (pretty sure that was him at the end in feudal Japan. He is Kensei it seems.)

Wait, we're sure Sylar survived? Did I miss a cue or something? But yeah, I would have put a stake through his heart, chopped off his head, then burned the body.
And what the hell? First, why couldn't Peter have flown himself up there? Second, if Nathan did take him, why couldn't he drop him off in the middle of the fucking ocean? Or the atmosphere, for that matter. AND how did Sylar let Hiro run up on him from like 15 feet away without doing anything? Completely implausible. This finale was definitely anti-climactic.

was thinking that the whole time. i'm not sure what to think about sylar. it looked like there was goo of some sort dripping off the top of the manhole. it could have supposed to have been blood but it didnt look like blood. something could have drug him down there.NovaLux wrote:First, why couldn't Peter have flown himself up there?

This show's logic problems plagued it til the end. I always hoped it would come together, but the logic never did add up...
Why didn't Peter fly himself into the air? Why didn't they shoot him and take out the bullets later, letting him regenerate? Why didn't Hiro go back in time and kill Sylar at a much earlier point in the narrative?
There's a million questions that don't make sense/were never answered.

I don't mind the Peter not being able to fly himself thing, since trying it could have set the bomb off. He never really seemed to have gotten the power down in the first place.
Sylar getting stabbed by Hiro when he just stopped bullets moments earlier was really dumb though. I don't mind plotholes/gaps in logic for this kind of show as long as the payoff is there as far as story arcs and character confrotations. I didn't get that in the final.
I'll still watch next season.

Supposedly he can only use one power at a time. I guess the graphic novels on the website fill in some of the holes. You can check them out here:FreshShabazz wrote:Why didn't Peter fly himself into the air?

The story was very good up through to the last battle scene, and then it just got lazy. Still a big fan of the show, hoping they nail it the second time around.
