Rome season premiere

was i the only one pretty much underwhelmed by this?
maybe im just having a huge disconnect from the end of the last season but.....
and i'm still salty that this fine ass woman is dead:

I actually enjoyed it. The end of the episode was great. "I fucked them, then I killed them, then I threw them in the river". Vorenus is going to have to live with cursing his kids to Hades, I can't wait to see the downward spiral he goes on. He's actually one of my favorite characters on TV. They are putting the pieces in place for a great season.

Come on dude, that was a dope first episode. Marc Anthony is the baller of ballers. Sucks about Naobi though, she was top 5 on TV for a while.

I'm not sure about how the series is going. It seems like their making Vorenus do a complete 360. First he was the loyal family man and soldier, now he appears to be turning into the late antiquity version of the Punisher. Now it's Pullo, who after getting off to a rough start of killing his wife's boyfriend, who's trying to settle down into normal family life.
I hope I don't have to wait until the end of the season to see what sort of revenge Octavian dishes out to Brutus's mother.

I've thoroughly enjoyed both episodes. Rome is the only reason to turn on the TV on Sundays.

The second episode was pretty great. Vorenus is a nut job, and rightfully so. I'm happy to see Octavian discovering the fact that he does not have a pussy.

Great moment. Vorenus is one of the best characters on TV. Shame this is the last season (right?). They are gonna have to move fast if they wanna get through the whole storyline.

they can't, without substituting a new actor in for Octavian, i don't think he becomes Caesar for at least 10 more years, and that kid looks like he's 16. i read that the show was too expensive, so for it to be back next year it would have to be drastically different, and the producers and directors weren't gonna go for that, so pretty much this is it. which sucks.
