This seems like the right thread in which to post this. And holy crap is it good. Episode airs this Sunday.

Aside from Maggie in the end this couch gag is a strong example of how far Simpsons have moved away from anything and everything that made the show what it was in its early seasons. But in of itself, in abstraction, that's a great short.

I was surprised to see that Sepinwall actually listed the Simpsons as one of his 15 best shows of the year, saying that it was a return to form for the series.
I only watched the first episode of this last season and it wasn't anything special, but now I'm curious about catching up at least.

Did you watch the doc on that yet?
The director is a huge douche and puts himself in front of the camera way too much, but other than that its pretty interesting.

No real rush to see it as it's got Kevin Smith. I'll probably catch it eventually, though.

Don't really mind Jon Schnepp on the Collider Movie Talk shows; probably the least annoying and most honest pundit there, tbh.
