Yeah, it definitely would have taken a lot longer for them to take off, but yeah.

The biggest problem for Futurama was that Groening owns all the rights to it, whereas with The Simpsons, Fox owns the rights. That's why (according to him) they treated the show poorly.

if comedy central owns the rights, why is cartoon network showing it? Is cartoon network owned by comedy central? The thing with futurama was just that it was ridiculously expensive to make. The only animated show to use a live orchestra for every episode.

Bingo

the frame animation is pricey as shit

if it doesn't come with big advertising dollars in its 1-2 season you can most def it will be pulled again

...i did hear they are scaling back on some of the technical costs tho so maybe it just won't be as visually stunning as it used to be

helllll no
i did collect G.I. Joe of course, but Mindbender Futurama is the online persona, which is a tribute to the cartoon

the Mindbender rap name comes from the Mindbender rollercoaster in West Edmonton Mall, the world's largest indoor rollercoaster that chopped off the heads of 3 people in 1986 when something flew off the roller coaster on the loop de loop

I think I lost some respect for you, although the decapitation story helps. At least the coaster lived up to its name.

I'm more of a Destro fan, if that helps any. And Roadblock. He was gangsta. Tomax and Xamot also were very much favorites of mine, since I had a twin brother. I'm no Gomer Pyle on the G.I. Joe shit, and I'm up on my Transformers too, but yo... I'm not named after Dr. Mindbender. But I do respect his work, and I fully recognize his gangsta.

haha, well i'm not so sure now. It's very probably the simpsons used an orchestra as well. It's expensive for both, but the simpsons have crazy merchandizing.
