Anybody seen the Battlestar Galactica series?

Post by binary »

I know, sounds lame, like some sci-fi bad acting bullshit. But I've actually heard very good things about, and I think Time Magazine called it the best show on Tv or something... :naswtf: . Anyways, I"m thinking of netflixxing the series, anyone seen it?

My boy Shaun watches it and constantly raves about it to me but i can't get over the fact they turned Apollo and Starbuck into chicks for the new series.

This show is excellent !!!! If you can find the episodes online download them. Starbuck is a woman and Apollo is a guy.

I know some people are loyal to the old series, but the new one shits on it in every conceivable way.
Thumbs up,

Word. This shows A-grade. I downloaded both season 1 and 2 and just finished watching them. I was under the same impression -- that it was some sci-fi geek shit. After watching it though, it's a great interpretation of a society and politics in a future setting. Acting may be a bit in question at times but the story line and character development is pretty fucking solid. It definitely has my recommendation.

Also another recommendation along with this is Firefly. A great show as well. While Battlestar Galatica follows the elitist population, Firefly follows the "blue-collar" worker.
