lol drizz is right obv- the only reason I thought otherwise is because somebody theoretically in the know in the "book spoilers allowed thread" on the other forum said it (or I thought they did) and it made sense in a couple ways (brothels, close friend with the queen).

I don't think the "savages" (fuck trying to remember how to spell their name) backed off any plan, they just haven't done whatever they were going to do yet and off brand Legolas is impatient.

The impression I get is that the Starks whole existance is sitting by that wall guarding the north telling you "winter is coming" in the same way crazy libertarians keep telling us to invest in gold.

well that sucks dick because so far they've spent 4 weeks specifically on getting me attached to these characters

if all of a sudden this show starts being about some guy that was in ep 3 for 2 seconds i'm getting the fuck off this trolley. unless there's lots of fucknig and dragons going on

I finally started watching this yesterday. It was a shitty rainy day so I watched the first four episodes. Pretty good so far.

horse thing was random but i assumed that was either an extension of teh mountain being a giant angry retard or something i didn't catch regarding to whatever trick the gay knight allegedly pulled in the horse joust (i feel like i missed a crucial line somewhere in that 3 mins)

the breast feeding was so amazingly creepy and weird, how can you hate on that. i loved that whole scene and that setting in general

I noticed the horse was tripping when they paid respect to the king, but I didn't see Sir Fag do anything to it. Mountain didn't have to do it yo

The breast feeding was a great way to show that Lady Starks' sister is bat shit, you could see that Lady Stark knew it and realized bringing the imp to her was a bad idea. Still it was fucking weird.

yeah annoying, especially since in the books the gayness of Renly is just inferred(if you aren't reading closely you could easily miss it) and not explicit scenes like that

No worries - I probably would have missed it too but for the audio book which I'm listening to after each episode. The show is following the book pretty closely and doing a great job IMO but, as you would expect, the book just gives that little more background/context.

i keep saying the lannisters are dope as fuck aside from the faggy squire, jaime was def beating ned stark and the queen consistently comes off better than catleen stark even though the latter is supposed to be the 'sympathetic' protagonist
